After reading pages of arguments of pro-mage vs pro-templar.
Nothing conclusive yet.
But I noted the similarity between this debate and the issues of mutants in the X-men movies. No problem for us to root for the X-men there though.
Although the Pyro's brother gave "voice" for the perspectives of those who side with the templar..

Indeed, the major difference between mages and mutants is that external dangerous forces are present in the former.
Though the Phoenix force is an exterior force, it's only pertinent when talking about Jean Grey. Who is too sexy to be confined in a prison.
