I cannot stand:

1.) Compassion. The naive make this seem like a virtue, when it's just a liability to be exploited.

The capacity for compassion is the foundation of what makes it possible for social species to exist! Without compassion, we would have no co-operation, no trust, and no societies. To identify with the suffering of another is deeply rooted in (non-sosiopathic) human psychology, and it is this that allows us to act when we see an injustice, or to help someone in need. These actions are not some frivolous extras, but integral parts of what it means to be a human, and indeed, compassion can be found in not only humans, but also our closest animal relatives, and indeed, in social animals in general.

This is no accident - when you see a feature, whether physical or psychological, appear in numerous species, you can bet that there's a good adaptive reason for it.

I'll go along with that.  I've known some very uncompassionate people and actually they're not much fun to be around; some are positively bad for your health.

I'm assuming he/she means the sort of fake compassion that you get with people who need a cause to fight for, which can be irritating as well as dishonest, but genuine compassion is one of the pillars of a civilised society.
