Hey IGN wrote an interesting short article about "clues" they think point to the setting of the next Dragon Age. Take a gander.

I thought that was a fairly explicit setup. A bunch of stuff is mentioned as going on there, but the key elements are Bodahn and Sandal.

Orlais was so obvious the game's credits should have just ended with the text message: "Dragon Age will return in Dragon Age 3: Orlais!"

I personally would love to see it! Wouldn't mind having an awesome Chevalier as a party member. The first novel made those guys sound pretty cool.

I hope Dragon Age 3 is years away and this time they work on it and instead of reused dungeons.

Seriously, all the DLC promised for Orgins cut short to make Dragon Age 2 better. I still ask Bioware this please go back to Orgins and keep releasing DLC as well as supporting Dragon Age 2.

People thought DA2 was going to take place in Orlais as well.

Another thing about Orlais they forgot. It has "Urthermiel Plateau". Urthemiel being the Archdemon of the 5fth blight. Who is possibly the warden's son now.

Not sure the thing about Morrigan being seen in Orlais really applies now - seems obvious to me that was retconned so they could set Witch Hunt back in Ferelden and thus reuse art assets.

That aside, I'm not sure it could be any more obvious they're moving to Orlais next. Sandal is going to be there, after all.

Or they're purposefully dropping misdirection hints to make smartasses guess wrong while they set it in Antiva or something. B)

That's my opinion of the Prophecy of Sandal.

Well, they already did once that by setting DA2 in Kirkwall, so fool me twice, shame on me.

...This site really needs an "eye roll" smilie.

But Bioware never gives you reason to eye roll!

I want a DA game set in Tevinter. I am tired of yearning to learn about it. Especially Ancient Tevinter.

I would love to see it based in Rivain... Laidlaw even said on his 1UP interview that it's a possibility. A guy can dream, right?

It's actually pretty obvious that the epilogues are no longer in canon.

This.

The moment Bodahn mentioned that he was leaving for Orlais after the trouble in Kirkwall was dealt with, I was pretty much convinced that DA3 will take place there. xD It's not Dragon Age without Bodahn!

Well...yes. But I don't care about epilogues not relevant to my interests being retconned. :P

Is it weird that I just want to go back to Ferelden? I like the accent. I know its history. And I want to see more Alistair as king.

One of the points they mention is the Dark Ritual. If you refuse Morrigan, does she still end up in Orlais? I accidently skipped my Epilogue as I loaded the game from inside the Landmeet Chamber after the final battle.

I would like to see Tevinter, Orlais, and the Anderfels. That article brings up good points, though none I didn't notice myself, but it is nice to see others are thinking the same as I

Like they said though, it could be Orlais for a big DLC like Awakening or Shadow Broker, and Da:3 could be somewhere else.

Way too much is point to Orlais i think. The real place we visit will be in the uncharted lands and bear little resemblence to the rest of the dragon age world!

Well, I remember Gaider bringing it up a while back on the topic of the epilogues that something like Morrigan going over the frostbacks or insinuating herself in the Orlesian Court could still be things yet to happen.

It would seem DA3 could be set in Orlais, but I think that was a popular thought after DAO as well. And like Laidlaw has mentioned in past interviews when bringing up people's thoughts on where DA2 would go plot wise, it would seem they almost take pride in going for what people don't expect, whether thats a good thing or not.

So expect DA3 to be set entirely inside Flemeth's Hut over the span of 100 years as you master your Kinect motion controls to become the most important grand master of marsh cuisine the Korcari Wilds have ever seen, in Dragon Age 3D: Cooking Mama Edition!:wizard:
