The wiki says this will be possible, but there is no citation. I guess it is chronologically the "last" DLC, so it makes sense.
It seems like to really get the most out of the storyline then, you'll want to romance Morrigan and perform the Dark Ritual. Which is too bad if you prefer to romance another character.
Does she just not mention the child in Witch Hunt if she was never romanced (she gets pregnant if you bed her even without the ritual) and the ritual wasn't done?

Well, there have been dev quotes (No, I don't have them handy, and without search, can't find them) where they said the import order was DAO>DAA>GoA>WH. That implies that WH decisions may factor in somewhere.
As for your question, I've imported 3 games into WH. Two did the DR. The third did, but the game bugged and assumed I didn't. However, I also slept wth her in that game. So yes, there was a reference to a baby. Not sure what happens if you never sleep with her, but IIRC her epilogues only show her pregnant if you either slept with her or did the DR. So I'd guess it shouldn't reference a baby.
