You said it. I don't install Nudity to get my jollys, I do it because it makes story sense. Like in DA:O when my human male warden is attack in his in the middle of the night with his lady friend. You think they had time to put on underwear or cared to get dressed after having sex? It made the game vastly more interesting with a PROPER nude mod, not this weird...stuff.

"Getting off" isn't the point or intent. As you say, there'ss plenty of pr0n. This is, and has always been, about immersion.

If people wanted this simply for "porn reasons", they would - as you say - just go browse some porn on the internet.

The fact that they want the characters in THIS game to be able to be nude is for immersion, and then also simply for the sake of morbid curiosity or variety.

Cambios, before you stick up for the mods linked... sheppard7 and Jwd have a point, since the mods linked are total sexualizations and have *nothing* to do with immersive nudity. In this case, they actually have a point.

If these were links to actual realistic nudity mods, I'd totally agree with you though

Jaz, nothing you said changes anything I said. If it were about porn, people would just go to one of the zillions of porn sites and be done.

The first step is always crude. People are figuring out how to edit and change the models and meshes. The images on those mod pages show what they look like in the see through underwear, but the mods themselves don't make characters run around naked.

For example, I use Ajunta's "Chains of Kirkwall" mod right now, and it doesn't make ANYONE by default prance around in their underwear. However, before I trigger a romance scene, I edit my save game to change the character's appearance to model #16 (the female model that uses the underwear), and it makes the romance scene far better.

The next step is to figure out a way to make the romance scenes do that automatically, so there's no immersion break.

But (especially with no toolset) its all about baby steps.

i bet enough people use this for porn reasons nonetheless maybe your an exception but seeing how protective you get is see a slight possibility that you are unable to get your porn fix elsewhere

It took several weeks before there were tools to do proper models for DAO; even though we have those tools, they need tweaked to properly work with the DA2 model format.

"Give it time," basically? I've heard that the Origins toolset actually can be used with limited functionality for DAII content-creation... is that true? And if so, what's completely off the table without a toolset?

I "think" the only thing right now is using it to compile scripts with Gibs helper... I certainly have not been able to use the toolset to do anything else that DA2 will use.

I'm seeing quite a bit that seems to be directly compatible, but I know dialogs and a few other things are not doable at the moment; I'm still digging into the full list of compatible content, and will be posting a list of things that can be used at some point.

Immersion huh? Point to the time period the game takes place that some hero of the town is running around said town naked then.

That is a crock excuse.


Edit: And since you want to be a tool about it, you act as if this is your only chance of seeing nude in any way... on or offline.

Why does "Immersion" have to mean "running around town naked" to you? Why can't it mean "naked for the romance scenes" like it does for most reasonable people? Or do you engage in sex while fully dressed?

Not regularly. Though, mini-skirts are great for bathrooms.
