So I have an US Warden that I've imported and completed DA2 twice with now. However, I would like to know if I should bother importing him into Awakening, completing that, and then using that save for DA2.

If I play a zombie Warden, does DA2 fall on its face with inconsistencies as to who the Warden Commander was, saying he died, then that he also saved Ferelden and is out there somewhere at the end? Or is my Warden still dead and some other Warden did Awakening (like I hope)? DA2 has been out a while now.. so.. does can anyone tell me about this?

Bioware's intention was to keep the US ending and make the Awakening's Warden Commander an unspecified someone else, so people could play through DAA with the Wardens and still not lose their US ending.  I don't know if there are any bug issues, though.

I would imagine that they would consider him alive. Since Bioware said when Awakening was released that those who made the US, and imported their Warden to Awakening, that you are undoing the US. In short, it turns out you took the ritual in order to play your warden again.

-Edit-
I got

So no one has actually played with an US Warden imported from Awakening?

Just thought I'd point this out.

For my DA2 playthrough I picked the martyr history with involves the female Dalish elf giving her life to Stop the Blight.

This is all fine and dandy, except that Anders told my Hawke he used to travel with a person that was a lot like me. I can only assume he talking about the Warden. But if the warden in my story died to stop the blight she would never have met anders.

So yea. Loophole.

Well if you open the summary thing before you import - it says the Warden is dead and did not take the ritual, but it never states whether he is the same one as the Commander. I did Awakenings with this suppossedly dead character also, but in DA2 it never mentions whether the Commander is the Hero.

Eh hem:

1. Die horribly, be completely altruistic and get nothin out of it

2. Have a baby, be alive, have sexy time with Morrigan

Choose your pick?
