The topic says it. What's your favorite scene that you really liked in the game, with just the kind of atmosphere you absolutely love. For me I'd say there were several, but the two that currently come to mind (I don't remember much of ACT 3's events anymore) are:

The part where you've escorted Ketojan, the Qunari Saarebaas out and defeated the Qunari / Tal-Vashoth opposing you. Just when you walk down the path to where he suicides, that musical theme is pure bliss and really adds to the whole emotional charge of that situation.

The part where the Keeper Marethari comes to the Alienage to help with Feynriel. Also a great musical score, and the whole scene just feels great. As even the alienage elves with no tattoos and possibly no connection to the Dalish bow in respect of a presence that clearly they know is important to them.

I actually think the music is one of the weakest points of DA2. For me, there were no memorable moments that I associated with music.

The scenes you mentioned were good, but definitely not because of the music, in my opinion.

Act 2's ending climax with "Qunari on the rise" theme.

Hmm, I think DA2 has a lot better musical score than most of DAO (with a few exceptions). It's just that thanks to the same unnevenness in volume as DAO suffered from, it's often wasted. I typically have to tone down the music during combat -especially during the deep roads - and then up again during dialogue, so I often just leave it down where I barely hear anything.

I like Hawke's house music playing in the background from act 2 to act 3.
Others are not bad.

I liked the combat music.  Sometimes it kicked in at just the right moment in a long fight.

I also liked the scene with Keeper Marethari in the Alienage.

"Rogue heart" theme. But I can't really say that they have mixed it well with anything. But from the first game I really liked the "For the Ferelden!"-part from the cutscene in the start, mixed with epic music. Games need to have more epic music in them, especialy in the fights. Most fight themes are pretty darn dull, especialy in Bioware games. They don't inspire you to fight harder or anything.

It sounds like Final Fantasy inn music.

I like the bouncier variation on Fenris's theme that plays when you're sitting with Donnic in the Hanged Man, waiting for Aveline to show up. ^_^

When the Wardens come during the battle with the Qunari. The Warden theme plays... good times...

^ I liked this theme during Aveline's quest too.

The one when Marethari enters the Alienage was beautiful too. It felt sort of ethereal.

The first time Fenris shows up and his theme starts playing. I love that theme and it fits that moment really well.

The music as a whole is very uneven, much like how Origins was. There are some fantastic pieces and there are some that are just totally unremarkable. Frankly, I'd have to say the main theme is my favorite, and that plays...on the main menu. Woo?

They really need to do a better job on the battle music, both cutscene and gameplay. I still get chills listening to the music from the Battle of the Citadel.

I also liked the background music in the prologue. It was heart-pumping epic.

This.

Hawke's conversation with Cullen at the end of Enemies Among Us, especially if you're against the Order at the time.

Anders' final stand, no further description needed.

And Meredith invoking the Right of Annulment, of course.

I have a good ear, but I'm having difficulty recalling the tunes or moments that I sat up and took notice of the music, though I remember that my general impression of it was positive.

However... I just...ah! I just miss the swelling theme in DA:O, entering Ostagar and staring across the crumbling bridge for the first time. Sadly, I do not recall having similarly spine-tinglingly awesome moments while playing DA2. Perhaps once nostalgia sets in for DA2 down the road, I will be able to find such moments to remember fondly...

Keeper Marethari when coming to Kirkwall's Elven Alienage.  Honestly that's that only bit I can recall off the top of my head.  As much as I loved DA2 it didn't have those musical themes of cues that would grab you and refuse to let go like DAO/

I adore the music they used for Keeper Marithari's entrance to the Alienage. It sounded like a re-mix of the love score from Origins, but the ethereal nature of it coupled beautifully with the reactions of the city elves and the keeper's expressions.

I also really like the love scene music they used for this game, even the little snatch of it that plays when Anders first kisses Hawke in his clinic. Brilliant. That moment really sticks out with me.

Anytime Fenris' theme plays is also grand. That track is one of the best in the score if you ask me. It captures the darker aspects of his character perfectly.

And any thread on DA2's music would be remiss without mentioning Florence + the Machine's contribution to the ending theme. I'm still waiting for this track to be made available (I cursed when it wasn't included on the soundtrack in the Signature Edition).

This is my favorite also. ^_^

I loved it so much I added it to my workout mix.  There's nothing like listening to Justice's Stress and then having it jump to "Qunari on the Rise" while working it out on the AMT machines.

In a very close second place are the tied: "Hawke Family Theme" and "Fenris Theme."

The Grey Warden theme playing when you meet the Wardens as the Qunari are wrecking the city. Made me miss Ferelden and being a Warden. Keeper Marethari's entrance is beautiful, especially combined with the music.

I love Fenris' theme. Is he the only character with his own theme? I notice it every time I have a conversation with him.

Aveline would tackle me for forgetting that and I'd deserve it!

This was a good one.

As weak as Act 3 was, I did like the battle with Meredith. Though, it probably could have benefitted from the song, "Hero Combat" or whatever. Especially when characters like Donnic, Zevran and all your allies start to swarm her. Good times. Good times.
