So, I'm currently on my second playthrough (Normal atm, but unlike my first playthrough I haven't had to turn down the difficulty once) and I'm sorta interested about other people's thoughts about the build and how it will stack up in higher difficulties.

As of lvl24; here's my attributes:
75 Str
20 Dex
19 Magic,
20 cunning
24 Will
41 constitution
Derived Attack: 2563 (100%norm, 85% lieutenant, 70% boss). I'll explain a bit later how I got these stats as well.
As for talents I have everything in the 2h tree except evolved whirlwinds and scythe and it's evolved choices,
In vanguard I have everything bar command, claymore and besiege
In Templar I have smite and cleanse (but I am aiming for silence)
In Reaver I have all,
I have Isabela friendship (+5% attack speed)

Gears: Champion plate (atm I haven't got the helm, as I haven't really progressed the storyline overmuch, although I am using Garahel's helm) and I have +7 attribute socketed in the Warplate chestpiece (the other pieces are mainly +money)
I have + stats with Garahel's Helm (+4% phys damage, I know not really 'stats' but there you go), Boots (+4% phys damage) , Belt of Woven Elf Hair (+1 cons), Urzara's Tooth (+1 attrib), Bardin's Folly(+2 st, +6% phys) and Ring of the Emerald Knights (+3% phys, +5% crit). My dps is ranked at 115 atm.

However, the reason why I'm listing this build is primarily because of it's speed. I'm currently using Bloom (2h axe from the scrolls questline) with +10% damage (destruction) and +37% speed (Etched Lyrium Rune? -- the one you can get from doing Varric's act3 companion quest if you decide to take the shard as opposed to let Varric max his own Bianca) and it's like I'm playing a rogue with a 2hand axe, because I'm hitting hard and I'm hitting stupidly quickly for quite a bit of damage with splash.

So far, the highest Brittle crit I've seen was 8314 (although I'm guessing the higher difficulties have marked increases in enemy resistances) with a Mighty Blow on a Shadow Assassin (on the way to finish off Merril's act3).

I realise I would be getting even higher attack speed with Berzerker, but I like Smite way too much nowadays -- even if it doesn't stagger or daze without it's evolution, I've noticed on Normal that when it hits it makes the combatants sorta step back involuntarily, but that 'step back' seems to be rather 'slow' to finish, which means I can punish them quite severely.
Fervour (on enemy death) +30% speed, +5% Isabela friendship; +37% Etched Lyrium Rune makes for one scarily fast axe work.

How are you level 24 and not finished the game yet? I finished it at 21 and I have done 99% of all quests.

Also, you should be getting whirlwind upgrades. One of them gives you auto crit on whirlwind so with cleave popped you are doing 400% more damage.

No points in battlemaster = stamina starved. Get bolster and second wind... they are amazing, second wind is full stamina bar every 45sec.. with talent

Hmm, maybe I will then. I dunno what it is then about why I'm 24 and haven't finished the game, do you have the Signature edition (with the bonus 'levels' as part of Sebastian's recruitment etc?)

The only quests I've never been able to finish is the Qunari swords (since I don't know where all of them are) and the noblewoman rescue quest that's bugged and impossible to finish anyway. It also could be because for a while I had Aveline equipped with an item that gives bonus xp.
