Is this supposed to happen or is that a bug? I can hear a song when accessing the credits from the main menu but after the game's last cinematic the credits roll without music. I saw the same issue on two different PCs, both had the Signature Edition and The Exiled Prince installed. I'm not looking for a fix, I just want to know if this is a common problem.

It probably doesn't matter, but here are my specs:

Windows 7 32-bit
Geforce 9600 GT
3GB DDR2
AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+
Sound Blaster Xtreme Audio with Logitech X-530 5.1 speakers
DirectX 9 (the one on the DA2 disc)

The other PC (don't know the exact specs):

Windows 7 64-bit
AMD Radeon HD 5770
4GB RAM
Some sort of AMD quad-core processor
Integrated audio with generic stereo speakers
DirectX 11

I've seen this also on the 360 and figured it was supposed to be that way although kind of odd. I didn't try the credits from the menu though.

I have this issue also, PC here. I thought it was just me, honestly. I haven't gotten any ending credits music after finishing the game on my very first playthrough (I've finished multiple playthroughs now). I've tried running the credits from the main menu and still get nothing.

I haven't tried running the credits from the main menu (shoulda done that!) but I definitely did not get music at the end of my first playthrough. I was thinking, "Sheesh, BioWare, can't be bothered to put awesome music this time!?" but I was wrong!

There suppose to be music, by Florence and the Machines IIRC. If you don't hear music then it is a bug.

So that's a bug, eh? I just thought Bioware was being pretentious.

So when I played I just heard thunder--no music.

For what it's worth, after the ending, when I was back on the opening screen (load game, extras, options, all that), there was still no music--just a track that sounded like thunder rolling.

EDIT: I tried from Credits and get the music.

I have this bug too, the music (main menu and credits) will play for me until I actually play the game, after returning to the main menu... silence. As far as I know the only way to get it back is to restart the game...

Just did another playthrough and now I heard music during the end credits. I sided with the Templars this time, not sure if it makes a difference.

In-game credits worked for me too, I think it's more to do with the main menu

I no longer have background music in the game it also doesnt play in the menu, there is only the thunder sound. I dunno if this is related but it started happening after I beat the game. Now I'm on a different playthrough, plus I added a mod that lets me use hawks hair in character creation. Dunno if that had anything to do with it.

Same issue for me. I didn't get the music either, but I thought it might have been because I minimized and then came back to it. It does play fine if I run the credits from the main menu though. Not really a big deal, but a little strange.

Had this problem too, but then accessing the credits from the extras worked fine for me. It seems like a lot of bugs, at least the more noticeable ones, are concentrated around Act 3.

sometimes it plays music, sometimes it doesn't
