I've heard enemies level according to your level, but is that true? Because Bioware was so rushed to get this game out by EA that they didn't even have time to beta test it (reminds me of KOTOR 2, same situation with Obsidian and Lucasarts), there's no toolset. So I can't create uber items that allow me to compete as level 50 characters. Yes, I cheat, but I find that that adds to the fun. low levels (in any game) are auto attack, auto attack, auto attack, special ability, auto attack... by the time you get to the level cap (if you ever do, again, KOTOR2 comes to mind) the game is over. You don't get a chance to use all your abilities. SO I want to cheat to 50, but if enemies scale, your equipment will be decidely inferior, and no matter your abilities, inferior equipment won't let you win...

I think someone from Bioware posted not too long ago and confirmed that enemies level with your character.
