Hahaha, same here! :D

Allow me to help, then.  Tomas is the guy you run into when you first enter Redcliffe village, the man standing on the bridge who asks if you've come to help them with the attacks if I remember right.  He then presents you to Bann Teagan.

She does it either way, the fact that she does it if you're a sneak too is mere coincidence, she's a rat through and through.

No, she doesn't. She betrays you if you rat her out to Cauthrien, if you don't bother talking to her at Arl Eamon's estate, and if you say you're going to kill her dad. All good reasons to betray you, in my opinion.

I'm not sure how not talking to her is reasonable justification outside the realm of paranoid wearers of tin-foil hats..

The people I wanted to kill most were Loghain and Vaughan. I honestly don't know which of those two I enjoyed killing more. And that says a lot about how much I hate Vaughan.

I know, I'm sorry.  One would never guess what a snake in the grass he is, amirite.

She tells you quite clearly that she wants to stay Queen.  She knows that Eamon wants to put Alistair on the throne instead.  If you don't come talk to her about the Landsmeet, of course she assumes you're sticking with Eamon's plan to put The Boy Who Would Rather Be Thinking About Cheese on the throne.  Tinfoil hat is optional.

She's like "Hi, Grey Warden. Please come talk to me, we need to discuss my dad's complete ass-hattery." She needs to know she can trust you. If she doesn't know she can trust you with Ferelden, she's not going to be on your side.

Which in the end means she'll do anything to grasp onto her power, including messing with me.

I suppose that maybe justifiable to her.. but I still get to hate her for it =P

I don't remember who Tomas is.

Anora is great. You betray her and she betrays you right back. Players are just used to NPCs that take anything lying down.

She does it either way, the fact that she does it if you're a sneak too is mere coincidence, she's a rat through and through.

She never betrayed me, so obviously she doesn't so it 'either way.'

Loghain is constantly referred to as a commoner. It's one of the reasons people are so upset he declared himself regent.
Of her mother I don't remember seeing anything.

Loghain is a commoner. Yeah, Anora's mother is given the brood mother treatment here, isn't she? I'll try to find out who she is, but I know she's a minor noble.

You're an unknown quantity to her equation.  Speaking with people does somewhat help folks get to know the person they may be working with/against.

I mean, I certainly wouldn't lend my public support to any candidate without knowing where they stand.

Anora wants what's best for Ferelden, which is honestly, Anora. Anora was raised to be a queen, she understands her people, she understands politics. She is not power-hungry. She is afraid that Alistair will run Ferelden into the ground, which honestly, he might. He' s a nice guy, sure, but is that kingly material? I don't think so. Mary is right. Alistair is the Boy Who'd Rather Be Thinking About Cheese. And playing with all those carved statues that you give him as gifts (they're like action figures to him). Really? Alistair? King? As human noble, Arle Howe. I really wanted to skewer him from the very beginning. Oooh, that smug look on his face makes me mad.

Oh, right. THAT Tomas. I'd tried to hard to forget the horror he inflicted on my PC, and now you've brought it all back again.

Everybody's so mean to Alistair, even the developers. My ears droop with pity.

Besides my noble would clearly be the power behind the throne... and she's awesome. Granted, that would leave Anora deposed but.. it's what's best!

hmm i'd have to say definately Arl Howe, just wished for a decapitation scene :/
bastard killed my parents!
i wanted to kill that Dalish elf who was being a jerk to me. ah trying to remember his name now..
he's the one that has you sit down so he can tell a story of the dales. And basically tries to keep rubbing in your face that your human and how us evilll humans are all the same and want to enslave their people.
actually a lot of them were so rude and hostile towards me.. that's okay we won their support in the end by killing the werewolves!  :D

Anora badmouths Alistair even after he sacrifices himself to end the blight. It was probably a glitch where she thought he was still alive and her husband, but talking to Anora after the coronation really appalled me.

Otherwise, though, I rather like Anora. When she slaps Alistair's hand away as they ascend the stairs had me giggling.

I think the problem is that Anora missed the memo going around that you were the PC and treats you exactly like a queen who trying to hold on to her throne would a complete stranger who appears to have just saved her in order to grab power for their buddy.

She's pragmatic with her loyalties, and you can't say she 'betrayed' you when you never gave her reason to be loyal to you.

Edit: It would be neat if she became your companion and you got her loyalty through the odd assortment of gifts. "A meaty bone? Why thank you. I only have dozens back at the palace."

I wonder what gifts she'd like?

Same here. To me, Anora just seemed like she wanted to remain queen because she'd no longer have power... not because she was concerned about the good of Ferelden.

I'm sorry, but I had to speak out.  I'm actually working on the mod right now but every time I go to Redcliff [i made it so he has a monster script and attacks you once you approach the bridge], weird triangles pop up all over your characters and the game crashes.

But once I work out the bugs it should run fine imo.

It's only because we love him. It's like when I call my cats Poopybutts. I do it because I love them.

Thing is she obviously missed the memo where you're a Grey Warden with half of Ferelden backing you and shouldn't really be messed with.

Oh please, she's not as one dimensional as that.  The devs were right.  If you had the choice to giving up your throne to some bastard that doesn't even really want the seat, and keeping it for yourself, what would you choose?  Yeah, I think it's less for power and more for necessity.

You don't have half of Ferelden backing you. You have the Arl; that's it.
