Thing is she obviously missed the memo where you're a Grey Warden with half of Ferelden backing you and shouldn't really be messed with.

You don't have half of Ferelden backing you. You have the Arl; that's it.

Whether the people like it or not, the Dalish, Orzammar and the Circle are part of Ferelden..
Edit: Not talking politically mind you, simply that you have a lot of people who owe you and just might be miffed if something bad happened.

Anora can successfully command her skinned knees to stop hurting. You don't mess with her, even if you are the PC Grey Warden.

You have the Arl, and depending on the choices you make you have the Dwarves, the Dalish Elves (or the Werewolves), and the Mages.  I think that counts as half of Ferelden at least, don't you?

Well about Queen Anora, she may seem power hungry and much like her father. But it's okay, in my playthrough i made myself King at her side. In the end my family name will go down as the true rulers of Ferelden. She ends up marrying me thus becoming a Cousland. Any heir to the thrown from children will also be a Cousland. So starting a whole new family in power..
mission accomplished. Grey Warden FTW!!!!

hmm i'd have to say definately Arl Howe, just wished for a decapitation scene :/

I agree, I wished my PC could have had a revenge beheading scene like Alistair got towards the end.  That was pretty cool.

i wanted to kill that Dalish elf who was being a jerk to me. ah trying to remember his name now..
he's the one that has you sit down so he can tell a story of the dales. And basically tries to keep rubbing in your face that your human and how us evilll humans are all the same and want to enslave their people.
actually a lot of them were so rude and hostile towards me.. that's okay we won their support in the end by killing the werewolves!  :D

Again, I agree, but I got a little bit of petty revenge on those Dalish during my 2nd time through.  I broke that one wannabe hunters heart there by getting it on with that girl he loves.  It felt so wickedly right rubbing her nose in it, and whatching the drama ensue...

Also, it was kind of fun offing Wynne immediately after meeting her the 2nd time, since for my first playthrough I took her along everywhere, and developed a fairly deep releationship with her.  2nd play I talked to her for 20 seconds and then took her head off.
Hmmm... maybe I've gone evil...

Don't forget that Alistair is also the true heir to the throne as well.

And the Elves/Werewolves, the Dwarves and the Mages/Templars, reckon thats about half right there. Oh and all the Arl's allies as well.

Someone not to be screwed with indeed.

They're there to endorse your fight against the blight, not against the throne.
Loghain and/or Anora could easily turn them against you, if not outright just have you and your meager 'armies' killed lol.

They're not your personal armies.  They agreed to follow you against the Blight, nothing else.

If you died fighting Loghain in the Landsmeet, the dwarves would be thrilled.  They'd far rather keep their troops at home to defend against the constant darkspawn attacks they've always got.  The Dalish aren't risking their necks for some stupid human political squabble, and if the Circle got involved, the Chantry would send Templars after them faster than you could blink.

I don't recall getting the dialogue option "oh, and we may have to duke it out with Loghain and his daughter... ok thanks for the troops."

Yeah, I'm pretty positive they were for the darkspawn and that's it.

While Loghain and Anora oppose unity in Ferelden, they might as well be part of the Blight.
And it's not as if you go up to each faction, present the treaties and they go "okay", they owe you big time.

Also, meager armies? They don't even have the Bannorn on their side fully, they'd be crushed.

Annoying as some characters may have been, I could understand where most of them were coming from so I didn't want to kill them.

Except for that dwarf guy who was making a noble hunter out of my sister. But I got to kill him.

If you are a Grey Warden, then the Blight is all that matters, surely. All the politics is just a means to an end. And regardless of the treaties, those guys owe you big time.

And you don't think they'd be the least bit miffed that the person who helped them from certain death (mages/elves) or to the throne (dwarves) gets arrested and neutralized leaving them to get overrun by the Blight thanks to some jumped up human?

Edit: As for the Chantry, considering your Circle troops are still under the supervision of the Templars and Loghain has gone and violated Andraste's teachings by selling slaves to Tevinter I'd sooner think the Chantry would help against Loghain/Anora's tyranny rather than the Circle.

I'm sure Bhelen or Harrowmont would shed a single tear for you.  Then go back to trying not to get shived by any other nobles on the way to lunch.

Amoral doesn't = stupid. I rather think they wouldn't enjoy the prospect of darkspawn coming to get them from both the deep roads and the surface.
But alright, fine. Let's get rid of the dwarves. That's still two groups who owe you for their very lives.

I'm surprised no one else wants to kill those annoying dwarven criers outside Harrowmont's Estate and the Royal Palace. I kept talking to them in hopes that a "Punch in face" option would show up.

Stupid propaganda spewers.

Difference is, Loghain doesn't take the Blight seriously.

I never got that line, for some reason.  Maybe I just didn't run by them often enough after fixing things up.

yes and that is why i took much pleasure in ordering alistair to execute him.. not to mention he had my mentor killed and betrayed the wardens. Ah vengeance, such a great thing sometimes
