what happened that pissed people off so much?
Apparently the chat was useless and didn't answer the though questions even ones that had nothing to do with Mass Effect 3.

And you have to love the people that are bellyaching about no ME3 info even though the whole webcast started with an explicit statement that no ME3 questions were going to be answered, nor was the game going to be discussed. But, whatever...paying attention is for LOSERS.

It was blindingly obvious that they were picking the most personal and generic questions that were as far away from the actual game as possible.Apple Sauce wrote...
There was nothing wrong with the answers. The problem, my problem with the chat, was two things: EA's choice of questions, and the shortness of the session which was only about 20 minutes. Naturally this didn't allow for a lot of thoughtful questions. I noticed about 1300 people in the chat, and they had selected questions as brainless as "What's a day in the office like?" and "Who's your favorite character?" I refuse to believe out of 1300 people that those were the best questions EA could have selected.

I'm definitely excited for this but from what I've read and seen Shepard isn't aloud to bring his teammates and instead has to go solo because the information is sensitive? Give me a break. The Bioware writers are high if they think Shepard isn't going tell his teammates everything anyway. I have no doubt the DLC will be fantastic but this is a bad design choice.

Look Bioware, I get that you don't want to create false expectations in your fans, since they whine about every little thing these days, but if you're going to do ANY sort of interaction between people who work on the games and the fans, either throw the fans a few bones or don't bother doing it. All this did was ****** people off since none of their questions showed up and the few questions that were answered weren't worth having a live chat.
