omg the whinning on this board its starting to resemble world of warcraft's river of tears... are you ever happy about anything ?
Did you enjoy the interview? Did you feel like you gained a lot from it? Was the interview constructive and motivating? Did it make you feel inspired to go out and get the upcoming DLC? Where you even there like we were?
Or did you decide to grace us with your long awaited presence simply to remind us all about another games message boards?

And yes, this boards are worse every day thanks to people with no patience who have the idea that they have every right to tell the developers how to do their jobs, if you are not sure about the quality of Arrival then dont buy it, wait to read some opinions and then decide, just dont come here whinning about an interview that wasnt suppoused to give you every little detail about Arrival or ME3.

I thought that we would hear SOMETHING gamewise. This interview had nothing to do with the game. Silly questions like how did you get your job and all are lame.
Tell me about the game. Or the story. Or where you came up with the story. How you came up with the story or the characters.... something. Don't sit there like anyone really cares how you got your job or what you did in college. Mostly what I got out of this was lil bald guy has an ego. Thats ok, he makes more than I do and he is entitled. But don't invite me to a webcast if it won't have jacko to do with the game.
He answered the questions put to him... A personal attack on him like that is uncalled for. The internet is a powerful shield, i would like to see you speak to somebody like that to their face. You would get a swift lesson in manners sir.

In keeping with the thread, and its general aim, I shall refrain from getting too far out of line.
"You know very little about me Shepard. Do not presume to understand my intentions."
I hide behind nothing, with no shield. Get all tough and flex all you want - its really amusing. I expected the interview to be a conversation about the upcoming DLC - they explained off of jump street that the interview would not be about ME3 or provoide any spoilers. No one had issues with that.
What caused the malcontent was the lack of input, the types of questions asked, and the fact that it had little to nothing (at all) to do with the Mass Effect universe. This was an interview with the lead writer for the series, so I kind of expected some type of correlation with the Series. Instead, what we got was a bunch of questions about what the office life is like for a lead writer, what he did in college and all of this other melodrama.
I'm sorry if you find that rude. I do not care about the writer at all. What I care about are his ideas, what direction he plans on taking the game and its story, or even what his main gist was for the new DLC.

Forgot to say earlier, but Mac mentioned he wrote Wrex and Garrus in ME1. That's aces in my book.
Well maybe he forgot to mention he wrote ME2's ridiculously horrible story. Not an ace in my book.

Um, no he didn't. He was part of writing it. So were Casey Hudson, Preston Watamaniuk, Drew Karpyshyn, and the entire writing team. Lead Writer does not mean "Guy/Gal who gets to decide what the game is going to be about."

Thank you for some sensibility and class. I understand people having objections to narrative and design decisions, but to scapegoat one guy is totally incorrect and pointless. I wasn't even to waste my time responding to these opinions, but I will respond to and commend your sensible comment.

Actually, I just now realized I tacitly agreed with the "horrible story" part by not objecting to it. I don't.
