Charade Amell, Gamlen's not-so-legitimate daughter, I think should be a future hawke companion in an expansion or future sequel.

Bioware really played up the family angle but then kicked us all in the collective groin by killing off our first sibling. Removing our second sibling and finally, eviscerating our mother.

To salvage the family angle i think Charade should be a companion and protected with plot armor and character shields. Give hawke some motivation to keep doing what they do even if their original family is no longer their driving force.

Clearly Charade wants a family connection, or else she wouldn't have set in motion the whole quest.  So how hawke deals with that in the future can be a good story thread, either blow her off and make her a rival, or try to connect with her and make her a friend.

If bioware wants to keep the family angle i think Charade is the best way to do it.

And PLEASE don't kill her too!

Maybe for DA3 as a means of providing a little extra continuity between DA2 and DA3

I thought I had done all the quests but I never came across a cousin - whereabouts do you run into her?

I would totally errm satisfy a demend of her Qun even though she's related to Gamlen...if you catch my meaning.

You need to find a note in Gamlen's house in Act 3

I like her character from the brief introduction and glimpse we had of her and she's hawt. Too bad she's a second cousin...ah well. Adding incest to the whole apostate thing might not bode well to the "Shauntry" misspelled for pronunciation

just met her, and I do think it's a good idea to put her as a companion in a future expansion... seems very likable ...

Right after I met her, I thought Charade could become a great returning character, companion or not. She has the family connection, the battle skills, and a good attitude going for her.

Yeah, I'll second that. If they could turn Merrill and Isabella into companions in DA2, Charade could certainly qualify for future games.

I agree. This charade must end and she must become a companion. She can handle herself quite well.

I have met her and i like her alot wouldn't mind her as companion. a friend brought up a interesting idea maybe that bioware is going. i'm not sure but it sounds reasonable to me. if you keep sibling alive thru the game you get in a xpac or da3. but they both die you get her instead.

And here I was thinking someone else linked the idea of Meredith's sword with Soul Edge and after it being destroyed comes back together to form Charade.

I agree with the OP, since all of your family is either dead or not with you. Having Gamlen and Charade would be a good connection for future games and DLCs

After receiving her letter as well, She just needs to be a companion,... But I do hope they save her for an actual expansion pack a la Awakening, cause I'd be bummed to only experience her (nothing to do with satifying the demand of her Qun- Should totally be memed XD) in only a short dlc...

The first thing I thought when I saw her, was that she could make for an interesting (permanent) companion (That and ''Crap now I can't make my femHawke with that hairstyle anymore'' >_>)

Can't help but feel that there's a story behind her name though.. ( And I wanna know it)

I really liked the storyline w/ Gamlen and Charade, and I would love her to become a future companion. I did this quest first in Act III, so after losing Mama Hawke it felt so good to not only find a new family member but someone super cool. And I love her gossipy letter she sends later asking if what she's heard about us is true:)

When you first meet her, I think there's a dialogue option that goes along the lines : you certainly don't take after Gamlen.

Which is true, she doesn't seem like an incompetent fool like Gamlen.  She also fights people and seems strong willed.
