 i have her at around 80% and ive done her first quest, but i cant ask her a private question like i can zevran or alistar
have i done something wrong and missed out?

You raised her affection too fast. There is a bug if you get her affections above 20 or 30 before she talks about Olais and such you will dead end the conversation tree. It is a known bug. You just have to keep kissing Morrigan infront of her to get the -5 affection each time to lower it to 20-ish and her story will pick back up.

That's... really silly. To be honest i'm surprised at how many bugs this game has... It's a little bit surprising. I have come to expect so much more from Bioware over the years.

I disbelieve you.  I've gone above 20 and 30 on both playthroughs hardly talking to her at all.

She's the one who needs to instigate things.  And she won't sleep with you, either, until 100.

I had the same issue. I just reimained patient until the third quest and then she opened up about Majorlaine, and we knocked boots.

Ok....i would seriously like to figure out how to get my charachter back on track. Romancing Morigan atm, even though i would much rather prefer leliana (at least with this char.). And i hope i havnt gone too far with her (Morrigan)...but anyways...so you get Morrigan and Leliana in the same party....talk to Morrigan and kiss her...and it actually bring down Leliana's approval? ...and once its low enough, her quest will pick back up? (All i ever got was a story about her mothers fav. flowers (which ive found a few of) and a weird story about the fashion of Orlais (which nothing came of...i figured it would initialize some conversation with the merchan in Denerim but nothing so far)...and my conversational options with her are completley gone....help?

I got her to 100. She'd sung to me, but then at some point it all just dead ended. I've completed that play through and don't remember details but I know I gave her all her plot gifts. I went to camp plenty often for her to have a chance to initiate something. It was just frozen.

You probably screwed up the dialogue and got friendzoned.  You also might need to actually carry her around in your party and do her sidequest.

I did her Denerim quest, but no singing and she's still not hardened to assassin for me. She's also at 100 approval.

She has to process some stuff. Complete a quest line and talk to her again.

Hardening is a conversation after that.
Has nothing to do with Assassin, she doesn't change Specialization based on it.

If you are a female PC, and the you pass the point of talking to her about the bards being spies in Orlais, it is pretty much over. If you get her approval up to fast, there is no way to bring it back. If you break up with her you're friend zoned.

A dev posted this in the other forum... I can't find the link but I'll summarize.





Basically you have to break up with her. I'm not %100 sure of the process, as I just read this today and haven't had time myself to do this (I'm in the same boat as you guys). Let her down gently for the lowest amount of reputation lost.



After you "break up", you can then do the line "Are bards truely spies?".



After the dialogue here, leave the camp and come back.



She should come up to you and talk about being lied to at this point... if you get to here, progress the quest as normal (including finding the "random" encounter on the world map involving this) and you should be able to do what you need to by the time you finish the quest.



Keep in mind you'll get a ~20 point hit when you break up with her, so keep a few gifts handy.



If anyone has actually done this, please feel free to fill in the gaps/correct anything here.

I tried that. I broke up with her, and then got the quest line and completed it. Going back to camp and finishing up the dialogues, you cannot romance her again. She remains a "friendly" status.

I've tried every single breakup option I could come up with, and she still remains a friend. This is so annoying because I already started the game over once to fix this romance, and now I have to start the game over AGAIN. Bioware really needs to patch this.

You have already had to complemented her on her beauty. That is how you start romancing. I think if you missed that you can't romance her at all.

I complemented her on her beauty. Playing as a female, I giggled and looked coy when she complimented my hair. The romance began, but after giving her the flowers in the Brecilian Forest, she adored me, and I could not get the spies dialog tree. After that it is too late.

No idea. One of the Bioware reps in the other forums said it was one of the first things he wanted to fix, but they obviously didn't give a time frame.
