Being knocked on your ass all the time limits the amount of damage you do. Investing in some defenses so you can stay on the target is good, especially considering how smart the baddies are on nightmare. I tried a melee rogue and they take some work to play right.

Did I ever asked for DPS builds? Nope. Rogues aren't just Damage bots, just as Warriors aren't just Tanks. Thinking otherwise is flat out wrong. The Duelist, Scoundrel, and Sabotage trees alone prove they can do other roles, the Dev intention is obvious. They are primarily Damagers, but that isn't the only role they can do.

Lastly, Not everyone thinks Duelist is bad, there are post here that prove it.
