I don't have the PS3 version, but there's something that's bothering me for a while:

In other platforms, when we play an NG+ game, we do a straight ME2 import, meaning the game simply reads an existing ME2 savefile and creates a new one. That means all of the ME1 choices, equipment, and weapons specialization are already there. But on the PS3, I heard that if you did an ME2 import, it has to go through the comic, you can't skip it. Is that true? If so, I find it odd that PS3 players get to re-pick their ME1 choices all over again, which is completely unneccessary since the savefile you're using already contains the choices you've already made in the comic in the first playthrough.

I'm just speculating that perhaps the comic itself can create a new game, but it has trouble with reading an ME2 savefile during the ME2 import (NG+). As a test, it possible to a) delete the comic and make an NG+ game to see if the glitch is still there, B) delete the comic and make a new game without it, and then use that playthrough as an NG+ game. If anyone has not downloaded the comic and still has the NG+ glitch, then the comic is not the reason.

if this game is similar to others you can delete the GAME DATA file in your ps3 and then reinstall the game but not download anything, all your dlc will be gone.

This is a very good idea [ Tong Gunslinger ]. On the PS3 version, you have to re-do the comic book on your play throughs, no matter if its a New Game + or not. BioWare, we think we might have found the cause to the glitch.

Did I try it? No. Will I try it? Possibly. The only thing that doesn't add up with his theory is the explanation of how you can still get your armor from the previous play through.

It might be a hard thing to fix, but I'm sure they have not been working on it as much as they could. They've obviously been working on the recent DLC which has now just came out.

I'm telling you, this could just be the fix to our problem.

No, I'm just saying in general the game doesn't know that your in a New Game +, and figures your in a regular new game.

You know why we havn't had an answer? Because bioware is probably getting sick of hearing about a problem that they have zero intention of fixing.

Why read the forums to be reminded of things that they want swept under the rug? Clearly money is the primary directive of the company, and we are the disposable replaceable buyer. They know we'l buy their stuff cus we like their games. Do they care about us, the consumer? Only to the point where we buy, after that, MINIMAL effort will be put into us..except for maybe suggestions for their next game..so they can make more money..

Love your games bioware..but seriously? its been months and no fix. You are a company, not a few 16 year old kids who one day decided to band together and create an rpg..

Fix it..please.

I think its fair to say this thread doesn't matter anymore. I got carried away, and BioWare fixed the main problem I had with the game, sorry i doubted you BioWare. The New Game + Glitch has been lifted from the lives of the PS3 fans.
