As the title says, my copy of DA2 doesn't seem to want to save the full screen setting - usually it does, but has a bad habit of opening in windowed mode abotu a fifith of the time, despite setting it full screen each time this bug occurs.

I'm running Vista 64bit quad core with a 512MB GeForce 9800 GT graphics card (updated the drivers when DA2 was released) duel screened.

8 gigs of ram, etc, but I can't seem to shake this bug. Not game breaking or anything, just rather annoying. Anyone have an idea?

Happened to me a couple of times but fixed it by creating a shortcut to the game executable instead of the launcher.

patch 1.01, DX11 mode on Win7 64-bit, Radeon 6950, Intel Core i5 2500K

I have this problem, as do many people, but it turns out the problem isn't random (or at least not for me).

The game only starts in windowed mode if the splash screen is "out of focus" when the actual game window comes up. The splash screen can lose focus if for example you click another tab on the taskbar, hit the windows start button or even some processes running in the background might be 'stealing' the splash screen's focus inadvertently.

If you leave everything alone while the game is starting up it should not occur, unless it's another program doing it. In that case try clicking on the DA splash screen's bar on the task bar to bring it to the forefront just before the game starts and it should start in fullscreen.

Hopefully this will be fixed in a patch so the game will just force itself to the foreground in fullscreen like it should.

This is happening to me whether in or out of focus. I have tried to save the settings prior to launching (the Configure button) or while playing by going into Video. Each time I exit and play the game again, it seems that it is not saving the setting and I have to checkmark Full Screen again.
