I wanted to read anything that might be on that statue, but it wasn't interactable. No way that was my Lady Hawke, though.

I think that it's probably a statue commemorating those who fought against the Qunari, including the Champion.

But I could be wrong.

I honestly thought it was a statue of Aveline... up until I noticed that it was stepping on a Qunari head. xP

So it's always a man?

My Hawke is a woman.

I was disappointed that i couldn't 'interact' with the statue for a cutscene between the companions or just Hawke saying something about it in a speech bubble, cuz i did wonder about it.

Same, my statue turned out rather well, though I wonder if the sword is made of fire or what.

Its a statue of a generic Kirkwall City Guardsman (with trademark face covering helmet) rather than one of Hawke, commemorating Kirkwalls victory over the Qunari.....I thought the flaming sword was a nice touch since it would probably have been installed by the Chantry, whose banners are also all over the now vacated Qunari compound.

Having a statue of you personally while you're alive would be awkward. It's the sort of thing crazy dictators with cults of personality do.

It's not actually hawke, it's just some guy in armor stomping a Qunari head.

This. I thought it was Hawke at first, but then I got closer and realized that it was a man. Pissed me the hell off is what it did.

Because everyone would have laughed at the idea of a woman beating a mighty Qunari warrior. ;)

Because the entire Kirkwall city guard aren't completely terrified of their female commander or anything...
Or, you know, Meredith. This ain't Redcliff, son!

In Oblivion my character got a statue that was an exact copy of the character after destroying a demonic siege machine known as the World Breaker. Beating a qunari called Arishok just isn't as impressive :P

Your whole party gets statues of them in BG2 after you save a city from some crazy druids.

In Fable 2  I got a big heroic statue and lots of smaller unheroic  statues spread across the land, so that the locals could see my character telling them to kiss his ass. Posted Image

The statue reminds me of the statue of David... Except with armor on, not naked. But the idea is still the same, hah! And lol earl, really? My hero only did pelvic thrusts for those statues.

I noticed it as well. At first I was pleasantly surprised, and then I noticed it's lack of bewbs. I was disappointed.

I would be too if they let woman like that in charge. See how nice a peaceful place Redcliff is compaired to Kirkwall. Well, Kirkwall wouldn't be so bad if Meredith wasn't in there. Things would propably work out a lot smoother without her. So I would be pretty afraid too.

I meant to do that in my playthroughs, but then kept forgetting. Ended up with a statue of the gnome or Nalia every single time. Poor Imoen.

Well hey, Redcliffe wasn't built on top of the Hellmouth, and it's contingent of entirely male soldiers and conscripted militia were a bunch of drooling incompetents!
Bah I so wanted to go to Gwaren instead.

It's not Hawke, it's a generic city guard. I imagine it's supposed to represent Kirkwall's victory over the Qunari (which is a lie, but hey! Propaganda.)

Cuthlan wrote...

Hey, it's not their fault that you all played the wrong type of Hawke.

The statue was perfect for me.

Bearded Idiot is the right type of Hawke?
Not a chance, sir! Not a chance!

I hate defaults, but beards are epicsauce (just not the default one).

Both of my FemHawke champions (one rogue, one mage) were left wondering who the heck the guy was in the heavy armour and why it was his foot on the Arishok's head. I would have rather they didn't put in that little touch at all if they couldn't manage an alternative version with a female body. It seemed like yet another sign of the game being rushed out.

Even one banter comment about the sculptor making stupid assumptions would have made it seem better.

Baaaah, they did just fine. They just weren't as awesome as Warden was.

And I think Meredith needs to blow off some steam before she makes choices.

And you get to go to Gwaren, you know in the Black Marsh, the Icey Mountain Temple and the village where you get Shalen (forgot it's name).

Dunno, I was a S&S heHawke warrior wearing the Fallen Set, the statue was an exact copy, however it had the helmet on.

If I remove my helm, does it show the default Hawke appearance?

Pft they get totally spanked if you're not there to babysit them.

Not her fault she got saddled with the Evil Sword trope.

I mean the actual city.
