Dunno, I was a S&S heHawke warrior wearing the Fallen Set, the statue was an exact copy, however it had the helmet on.

If I remove my helm, does it show the default Hawke appearance?

No, because it's not Hawke in any way, shape or form.

In Oblivion my character got a statue that was an exact copy of the character after destroying a demonic siege machine. Beating a few qunaris just isn't as impressive :P

Your whole party gets statues of them in BG2 after you save a city from some crazy druids.

In all-holy exalted BG2, not even your character looks like your character, so I doubt the statue does.

The statue does look like a stone version of your sprite, though. Same for the rest of your party.

It was actually really neat, I thought.

It would have been nice if the statue looked like the custom Hawke, but really, some of you are actually pissed off about this? Geesh, I hope some of you are merely being sarcastic, otherwise you're just plain sad.

I could throw a temper tantrum that my Asian Hawke wasn't the one Varric depicted in the "original" version of the story (you don't customize Hawke till after the Seeker interrupts him the first time). Then I can start a forum where everyone can whine about how the "official" story being told to the masses is about a White wo/man. Oh, the outrage!

*sniffle* Now I'm crying.

I get your point, however that tale is immediately dismissed by Cassandra as bullcrap and Varric purposefully being an ass, and if you choose a custom character you can logically include Hawke's appearance in that.

It looked like a werewolf, because I was shapeshifted at the time

I'm glad it was inaccurate if you're not playing a warrior. It'll be harder for bounty hunters to find me after the end of the game if nobody can even get my basic appearance right. ;)

If Varric is their only source, they're going to be looking for someone twice my cup size :P

He only told Cassandra the right version because she insisted! In all his other stories, I'm ten feet tall with hair that shines like the heavens, eyes that glow with righteous truthiness, spit lightning at my enemies, have a voice so commanding slavers repent just from hearing it, and use the Arishok's skull as a gravy boat.

I re-loaded an old save (from a earlier playthrough) and you are right it does have the 'Fallen' set helmet rather than the 'guard' helmet. Which is weird.........who exactly is it supposed to be, I could see a generic city guard figure being used but this doesn't seem to be a statue of the guard as I assumed.

I'm on my third playthrough (first as a warrior), so a generic warrior statue made no sense in my last two playthroughs....maybe its supposed to be a Templar, althrough I don't remember anybody else using the 'fallen' style helmet.

If it is supposed to be a statue of the champion, its well...........a little disappointing.

Then it's just a generic human. I see no proof of anything else.

It was hard to miss amongst the maps that barely changed at all over the course of the game, this was one of the few aspects to go against the grain.

The sprites don't even look like the character, though. It's ridiculous.

Heh, sarcasm is always the way.

Anyway, what I say happened is this:
The Chantry commissions a statue to commemorate victory over the Arishok near the site of the Qunari compound.
It is originally going to be of Hawke, however Hawke states that she/he is far too busy.. um.. picking flowers to pose for a statue so the Chantry goes to plan B.
The Chantry being the Chantry commissions a statue of a Templar, however mid way through carving Meredith vetoes the idea, claiming that smelly, crime ridden docks are no place for a statue of such a wonderful, awesome being as a Templar.
They then switch to attempt a city guard, but the general shape of the helmet was already carved and the stonemasons refuse to start from scratch, citing a game of strip poker that evening.
So they find some generic armour lying around, copy that, put a flame sword on it because it's fire and the Chantry likes fire and there you go!

So..........................

Arishok head = Qunari defeated
Armour = City Guard
Burning Sword = Templars
Helmet = representing the Champion? Image IPB Okay, not the best way to represent the champion if your a mage or rogue.

Baaaah, they did just fine. They just weren't as awesome as Warden was.

Pft they get totally spanked if you're not there to babysit them.

And I think Meredith needs to blow off some steam before she makes choices.

Not her fault she got saddled with the Evil Sword trope.

And you get to go to Gwaren, you know in the Black Marsh, the Icey Mountain Temple and the village where you get Shalen (forgot it's name).

I mean the actual city.

1. Baaah, women wouldn't have done any better! (After all, they did hide in the church! :D)

2. She bought the sword! Her poor judgement... And that shes clearly not the most sensible type.

3. Oh yeah, that might have been nice.

Hey it's shiny and cool. I can understand that; I have Fenris use that model myself and no signs of evil possession yet.

1. Eamon is just being a gentleman and trying to keep the ladies safe, they might just crack a nail in the heat of combat!

Unlikely- fighting is what I bring Fenris for, I'm just there for moral support and magical genocide, depending on what's necessary at the time

Gentleman? Pah!
Plus Eamon's men get their comedy beards caught on their shields! I've seen it happen. It's terrible.
