I see lots of forum suggestions for acquiring pre-release DLC items and how to activate them within the game.

But....

What do you do after you've redeemed your codes, registered your games, followed the how-to instructions and some of those highly desired items aren't showing up in the game, despite the Social Network reflecting them in your content? I'm talking about Fadeshear, Lion of Orlais, the Irons, etc.Image IPB

Fade Shear, Lion of Orlais, the Irons etc... you get in the Black Emporium there is a chest that has those.

Other items you get at your home in either Act 1 at Gamlen's or in Act 2 at your house in Hightown

I've already been to the Emporium a couple of times and no such luck, but just in case, I will go check again. Thanks!

How about Hindsight, Staff of Parthalan, Boots of the Frozen Wastes?

Should show up in your chest at your house for Staff of Parthalan and the Boots.

As I said there is a chest in the Black Emporium right hand side, near the statue of Andraste. They should show up there for the ones in the Black Emporium. The old man will say "I tire of those plebeian things. Take them no charge. You hear me Thadius... no charge..."

This did not prove to be accurate! Of the pre-purchased content that I am supposed to have in my game only Lothering's Lament and The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall were actually received.

Boots of the Frozen Wastes, Staff of Parthalan, The Irons, Of Things Not Lost, Hindsight, Fadeshear, The Lion of Orlais & Blood Dragon Armor are all missing in action after I've already redeemed my codes, registered my game, liked everything on Facebook, signed up for the newsletter and the Penny Arcade; plus followed the how-to instructions to have it all activated. Despite being reflected as my content in the Social Network, there's nothing - nada - zip and frankly, I don't know what the heck to do about that.

Anybody wanna clue me in? I would really like to have these items!

Can you double check that the account the game is signing into is the same one that you used to set up your social account. Also can you confirm what items are showing up on the Unlockables option in the main menu?

Paul, the answer is yes, I signed into Xbox Live with the same account that I sign on here and the only Unlockables that appear active on my game screen are the two mentioned above. Doing all of that only scored me Lothering's Lament and The Far Cliffs of Kirkwall. Those two items activated, nothing else, no explanations. I don't get it, and I see that there are plenty of people having similar issues - to varying extents - but I don't find any coherent information as to why this is the case and how it can be fixed. Once a redemption code is used, it can't be accomplished again, but there are no instructions addressing such glitches.

I feel that customers who've committed to a product - in advance - specifically for additional content, are entitled to concrete information that is reliable. Not hundreds of forum pages that address common problems with no company backed troubleshooting help. I mean it's pretty clear how to get/purchase/download all of these items, but when they don't activate as expected - nothing. Really??

On the main menu in DA2 go EXTRAS > Unlockables and see what is unlocked

then go to OPTIONS > Account and see what the e-mail that your gamertag is linked to

It might not be the same and either way you will ahve to call EA and if it isn't the same then they can transfer the licenses over (don't listen to them if they say they can't becuase they did it for me) and if they are the same ask why the hell aren't they showing up.

Then they will give you a $20 coupon code to the EA Store which is good to use when they have days of free shipping since you can get a free $20 game.

Will do! Thanks for taking the time to offer these helpful suggestions. Honestly, I don't need or want any kind of credit for the inconvenience (or to use for other products). I'm just hoping to successfully resolve this brouhaha and finally receive the stuff that I was supposed to get in the first place.

Or if you prefer to use the internet (not sure if there are charges when phoning) you can use their live chat feature: http://support.ea.co...at/chat_landing

I received a timely email response from EA Games, but since their suggested "fix" requires me to delete my saved games in the console itself - in the hope that doing so will restore all earned DLC - I'm gonna wait until I finish my current rogue playthrough. I've already beaten DA2 as a mage & a warrior, so I might as well complete the rogue playthrough before all of my saves go the way of the dodo. Now, what if I reset the hard drive defaults, lose my saved games, and the missing content remains....missing?

Well, I completed my latest playthrough, but the suggested "fixes" failed to work. I've been instructed to clear my consoles game cache and intend to laer this afternoon. Hopefully this will do the trick!

Didn't work! Gremlins must be gumming up the works. Anybody have spare patience that you can loan me?
