If they make us play as Hawke again I will never buy another Dragon Age game again.
You remind me of the entire L4D2 boycott group.

With decent VA's that can actually do a good French accent (Such as Leliana's; who is actually French, if I recal correctly) without it sounding horribly grating, then maybe. But I just have this horribly, nightmarish vision of an entire game filled with Isoldes. *shudders*Most Definitely Sane wrote...
Oh, but the Orlesian accents are so wonderful!

I don't know if it was just a knee-jerk reaction, but I lmao. Good post man

I both think not, and hope not.
right<_<......why do you hope not. whats wrong with Hawke?
I hope not because, in my opinion, we're done with Hawke.
I described in another thread my thought about DA2 - it wasn't about Hawke, it was about what happened in Kirkwall. Hawke didn't cause the war, Hawke didn't incite one side or the other to fight the war, Hawke didn't lead one side or the other in the war. Once the incident at the Gallows was over, Hawke vanished into the hills.
Hawke was around, Hawke did a bunch of stuff, and Hawke was there when the war started. That's the story of Hawke. Hawke was out killing dragons at the Bone Pit while tempers were seething over in the Circle and Templar HQ. People - read, Cassandra - thought Hawke was important. But Hawke was really just a bystander for the whole thing.
So, yea, IMO, we're done with Hawke.

Which is kind of what makes me think they'll be using Hawke again. They basically took one of the Origins and stretched it out over ten years and into a full-length game (which certainly explains quite a few of the weaknesses of the game).

Hmm, that's an interesting observation. I hadn't thought of it like that, but DA2 does sort of play out like a long origin story.
Now I'm worried.

Is it possible that Bioware might just ditch this unfinished story? Yhe expansionpack for Origin, how long did it take before they launched it after the release?
And I reeaaally hope he will be the main character! And Fenris and Aveline will stick around. But die Merrill! >_>

That's only if you agreed to OGB, only done that once out of five. Sacrifice is fun!bti79 wrote...
I hope not. Give us back the warden (and Morrigan). As much as I enjoyed playing hawke, he never felt like my character in the same way as the warden. Also we need morrigan back because she's the klar interesting character in DA and age should be with the warden, her only friend and/or love.

The Warden's not coming back, that ship has sailed.
Thankfully most ships have return voyages.
And this shipyard really needs one after their last ship hit an iceberg.

its funny how since not all expectations were reached now everything is deemed wrong. graphics, music, hawke, executables, .. quite biased.

would love to continue hawkes story. too much of a cliffhanger ending in da2.

And thats quite dismissive of you. It's true a lot of people just like to talk crap and "deem everything wrong" but nobody here really agrees on everything. There is a lot of reasoned criticism on the forums, even if you have to dig through some crap to find it. Not loving everything about a game isn't biased.
To answer the OP: I would not like to play Hawke in DA3. I would like Bioware to stick with the idea that Dragon Age is about the world rather than a person. Not that I don't want to find out what Hawke is up to, I do. On top of that, I found Hawke sort of unimpressive compared to my Warden. She just kind of screws everything up. She didn't really seem very important or influencial, beyond some people insisting she is. I look forward to a whole new character in the next Dragon Age.

DLC would be fine, but I wouldn't cry if we never see Hawke again.
