Couldn't care less about the Warden or the God Baby (that doesn't exist) returning.

i'm also fine if we have a new protagonist
my canon warden martyr'd so it'd be weird to be playing as my warden again

Unfortunately, since they want a voiced protagonist from now on apparently, we'll never see anything but one race protagonist per DA entry since I don't see them getting multiple voice actors for the main character's lines.

As others suggested, having Origins again and then being a Seeker would be rather interesting.

You could at least have a choice between human and city elf/ elf mage, since they'd have the same accents- or at least could get away with having the same.Faroth wrote...
I would like to see a new character as the protagonist, with an Origins style allowing different races, but I'd like to see the Gray Wardens, with your Origins Warden (if they accepted the dark ritual) AND Hawke appearing in the game.

Not sure I want to play a goat, though.

* Though Awakening and Witch Hunt undermined that finality considerably.

Also, all new cast of companions. I wouldn't mind small roles getting expanded on, like Ariane or Finn or Sketch, but I want new friends to get to know rather than... for example... having Oghren back again.
One reason I really don't want OGB as protagonist is because Morrigan stated that the OGB was male, and I'd find being restricted to a male protagonist to be needlessly restrictive. Having a grown-up OGB as a potentially romancable bisexual companion with Morrigan's tsundere snark would be... well, I'd hit it.
And... a bit off-topic to ask here, but my dark-skinned Cousland posh boy shagged Morrigan in the ritual to make her OGB, so if the OGB turns up later with an imported save, will he be dark-skinned or will he be caucasian-looking like Morrigan?

It is most likely that Hawke will be the DA3 protagonist, as he/she is supposed to be "the most important person in Thedas", not to mention that Hawke's story in DA2 kind of felt half-done.
The most important person in Thedas? If that's true, then Thedas is in ALOT of trouble.
Hawke's influence in Kirkwall at best is laughable, I can't imagine Hawke trying to influence events in the Free Marches, Ferelden or Orlais.
Hawke may be a useful figure, by that I mean the the Chantry may find it useful to blame everything that happened in Kirkwall on the Champion and may view his/her death as a necessity for bringing the Templar-Mage war to an end. But Hawke can't even talk his/her way out of trouble without Varric's help.
Hawke couldn't even save the Viscount. I mean what in the hell were Hawke and Aveline doing after they made it out of the Qunari compound? Did they stop at the Hanged Man for drinks first? The Qunari somehow raced pass them to Hightown and began dragging nobles into the Keep while they remained on the Docks doing what?
I'm truly done with this character. And if DA3 begins with the Champion of Kirkwall on trial like another brainless figure in the Bioware gamedom, then this franchise's fate is already sealed.

From this thread why not have hawke appear as a secret companion.I like that idea. When i met that warden group in the city, its too bad it couldnt be YOUR own character from DAO leading that particular group.

2. ITS A ****ING GOD. Yeah try and balance that **** out.
#2 made me laugh, considering one of Bioware's best and most highly acclaimed series was based on that exact premise and was perfectly well balanced.
But I agree with #1, you can't use the god child without completely abandoning the illusion that your choices matter from one game to the next.
I think Hawke's story should be finished with an Awakenings style expansion or a series of DLC rather than a third game.

Hmm i would propose a blending of DAO and DA2 for DA3.How can this be done?Well an import from DAO and DA2.Although it might be a coding nightmare! But you never know...

Yeah I mean that 1 major choice we had in DA2 would be a **** to implement on top of our origins save..

Hope not, want a new character. Would love to play as a seeker.
Wouldn't playing a seeker narrow down class choice? Couldn't see blood mages in the seekers. Or mages in general. Playing a seeker would no doubt mean playing a human rogue or warrior. Not much of a choice.
I wouldn't mind a character that works for the king/queen of Ferelden and works his/her way up to being a general, since there seems to be a war brewing.
