That's debatable really. Hawke has spent his/her entire life training just like some of the versions of the Warden (Hawke even joined the army if s/he was a Rogue/Warrior.)

The only advantage the Warden has on Hawke is defeating the Archdemon. That's one hell of advantage though.

Oh I know. It's just the impression I got playing my Cousland warrior.

I think Cousland would definitely be more suited to be the Viscount than Hawke, if that's a consolation. :P

Warden roflstomps Hawke.

If it's 1 on 1, while Hawke has to furiously mash the attack button just to lay on some wimpy normal hits, the warden, thanks to auto-attack, is executing elegant special combos to stunlock Hawke in place as he just brutalizes him with glee.

If it was team on team, Warden roflstomps even MORE. Not only is he more well liked by his companions as evidenced by being able to have converstaions with them whenever he wants, but he can equip them with whatever gear he wants them to use. Meanwhile Hawke's crew is wearing the same crap they started with, with only minor upgrades, and lack the talent to be able to switch weapons. Oh, and the Warden's tanks can build and hold threat way better than Hawke's tanks could dream.

Then when it's all said and done, the Warden sleeps with Hawke's mother and sister. At the same time.

Warden would own. Can you imagine?

Hawke: "I'm the Champion of Kirkwall! I saved the city!"

Warden: "Err..nice kid. I killed an arch demon, saved a kingdom, stopped the Blight and fathered a god baby along the way..."

Hawke: ".....I'll just go back to my city now..."*shuffles off, head hung low*

OR...

Fem Hawke: "I am the Champion of Kirkwall! I saved a City!"

Warden: "Yeah that's awesome baby...I killed an Arch demon, stopped the Blight and saved a kingdom...what say you and me hit up the tavern over there and I show you how I made a god baby...."

Fem Hawke:"...well.....ok" *smiles and follows him*

I always felt the warden was a more skilled and experienced fighter than Hawke. Though I guess it would depend on the warden's origin a bit.

My 'canon' Warden was an Arcane Warrior... swinging magically empowered swords requires no experience. He's also dead, though.

The Champion of Kirkwall may exist in the past but he certainly doesn't exist when Cassandra interrogated Varric. No one knows what happen to him/her. What we see is only imaginary character based on Varric's exaggeration. There is no proof that Hawke ever kills the ancient evil in Deep Road or flip 6 feet high or explodes the hurlocks's bodies or slays the high dragon etc..The only proof we knows is Leliana ( who only acknowledge Hawke's existence in the past ) and the fact that the war already started. Varric's account cannot be taken on face value. It requires further studies and verified testimonials from various individuals. Therefore, Champion of Kirkwall vs The warden thing is silly.

Hogwash.

I guess you never realize DA 2 is a story being told by unreliable third person narrator who narrates the event that happen years ago?

. If you intend to use that as an excuse to doubt anything in DA2 happened the way it did, you're grasping as straws.  Why would Varric lie?  At most he left some things out that Cassandra called him out on, as seen in the DLC.  Wasn't it him who said that Hawke's true story needed to be told?

You should have learned something about Varric.  He lies a lot.

The Warden wins easy: Hawke goes crazy watching his mouth move silently.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING?!!!"

lolwut? DA2 has auto-attack. You just have to go to "options" and turn it on.

Really? You want to be deluded by your imagination, it's your right. But it doesn't prove anything. You have no evidence to back up Varric's story. I, on the other hand,  already prove to you that Varric admitted to lie a lot - which you conveniently ignore.  So, now I'm grasping as straws? No. It's your argument that is hogwash.  My advise for you is to wake up. DA 2's current reality is Cassandra interrogating Varric. Not your hogwash of making up Hawke's character. In current reality there is no Hawke. No highdragon. No ancient evil. No mansion. No hurlocks. No Deep Road expedition.  There is only Varric, Cassandra, Leliana, the war is already brewing all over the world and a stage for future DA ( if there's any ).

Ah, so it was all a dream. That makes sense.

You're funny. Thank you for ignoring Varric's admission that the true story had to be told when he was talking to Cassandra, btw. That's just as much proof as his offhanded statement about lying, only far more relevant.

What true story? There is no such thing as true story because if there is then BioWare won't be making craps like, "story-within-story told by third person unreliable narrator" in the frst place. In addition, through party banter Varric is consistent to telling lies - which you obviously refuse to acknowledge.  And If you are refering to what Varric tell  Cassandra about the "truth" in DLC, then no. I'm not ignoring it. I just don't buy all DA 2's DLCs other than the one included in signature edition. Still it amuses me because it's doesn't constitue to what BioWare claim as unreliable third person narrator.

My Warden would not fight Hawke. They buy some mead and sit around laughing at the stories about how my Warden disemboweled Morrigan and how Hawke had Kirkwall's most impressive collection of torn trousers yet lost it all because she stored it in the Chantry.
