I think there was some mention of Bodahn and Sandal going there. Not to mention what King Alistair said about what was happening with Orlais. In fact there's many mentions of Orlais. And the whole involvement of Leliana. And it seems like Orlais has the 'Divine' the leader of the Chantry. So it begs the question will we be going to Orlais next?

I hope it isn't, it wouldn't make anys sense for any mages to stay in Orlaise because its the Chantry HQ any smart mage would run away from the single strongest spot in Thedas. It makes alot more sense and would be alot cooler for the game to take place in the Tevinter Imperium.

We've already had two games taking place in a Chantry controled country do we really need to make it three in a row?

If you think about it, turning yourself in to a circle is much preferable to going to tevinter, for any smart mage

Tevinter would be nice but I don't think that's where it's going. Everything seems to point towards Orlais being our next stop.

Leliana, Morrigan and Sandal are all going to be in Orlais. Tha'ts a good sign that DA3 is going to be set there.

Yes, it's like I said. All signs point to Orlais being where the next game is going to be based. It'll be interesting playing a Mage there what with it being the chantry headquarters and all.

It's obvious that I disagree with you on this topic, but i'd be interested to hear why you think a protagonist change is not only imminent, but "right" as well.

I would love for it to be Tevinter, I really would, but that would be . . . well, quite different. I am aching for a different sort of place, though. I've had enough of English-accents in Ferelden and Kirkwall. I love them, but I want to see someplace more exotic. Kirkwall had those nice Tevinter buildings and we got to see more foreigners, but you couldn't really tell Free Marchers and Fereldans apart.

Orlais would be nice. I want to see the splendor of Val Royeaux. Antiva would be very exciting. Nevarra and Rivain seem exotic as well. Tevinter and Seheron/Par Vollen would be amazing but difficult given the disposition of the people that live there.

I think for story purposes, Orlais makes the most sense. However, I want to see a more Mediterranean-environment at some point, like Antiva or Tevinter. Especially since those places are in need of developing beyond stereotypes.

They have about 5 voice actor for Orlesians. I'm doubtful.

I dread the terrible French accents. It was bad enough with a handful of NPCs in DA2, can you imagine an entire game of those fake french accents? I'll be slamming pencils into my ears by the end of the game.

My guess is that it won't be based in Orlais for exactly the accent reason, but that you'll end up there or that there will be heavy Orlesian ties in the storyline. As soon as Bodahn said Sandal was going to Orlais, I went "Oh, there's DA3."

Personally I wouldn't mind it being based in Orlais, but only if they get actual French actors. French is my favorite of the languages I've studied, and bad French accents are painful. Sadly, I think it won't happen in part because Americans seem to have a hate/love/hate thing for the French and it wouldn't sell the game well.

Well I'm sure Bioware can get some actual French voice actors. A lot of things in the game made me think that's where they're going with it. So it'd seem odd for them to not go there simply because they don't want too many french accents in the game after giving hints that a major story plot is going to happen in Orlais.

I really doubt it cause of the accent. Considering that we now know that ALL the circles are rebelling the next story might go around all of Thedas. I want to see the Tevinter Imperium personally and the Anderfels.

I really really want to see the Imperium. Maybe play what will eventually become the antagonist of Hawke and the Warden. It be awesome to play a bad guy.

I'd accept Orlais as the setting for the next game. Dragon Age did a great job of setting up other locations and making them seem like interesting places for a game. I would like to see Orlais, but I also want to got to Par Vollen, Tevinter, and Antiva.

If I had to listen to accents in the vein of the husband whose wife gets chopped up in DA 2 for an entire game I probably wouldn't last through the tutorial.

In my dreams we'd have a massive, Thedas spanning game... but maybe that's DA4 or DA5.

Orlais is fine, but as others pointed out, I hope they tone down the cheesy French accents. I know native French-speakers who speak English better than most Americans... or Brits, for that matter. So Orlais is fine, as long as everyone doesn't sound like a resistance fighter from Hogan's Heroes.

Maybe just an expansion will be in Orlais. There's usually one big expansion right? I want to go to the Tevinter Imperium and drag Fenris along and see if he can get any more angsty than he already is. On topic, I definitely think Orlais will be a big part of our game, even if it's just one location of many. I'd be cool to travel to all of those locations in one game. One really long really awesome fifteen act game.
