Depends on when it is set for release, if next year then probably not.

Yes. I will.
Because I am a bigger Dragon Age fan for whoever wouldn't preorder.

As long there's cool bonuses and Merrill is in DA3.

No, I would not pre-order DA 3 based upon my experiences with DA 2.

No, I do not think I will.

Though, that is not because of DA2, which I did not pre-order. Nor did i pre-order DA:O. I almost never pre-order games, I kind of enjoy going to the store and buy a game the day it comes out.

That depends. I would follow the forums and see what changes BioWare plans to implement for DA3. If I liked those changes, I would preorder the game. If not, I would wait for the reviews to come in.

I preordered DA2 from Amazon. I knew the game would be "streamlined" and that I did not approve of all of the changes, but I figured that I could take the good with the bad and enjoy the game anyway. Taken as a whole, I do enjoy the game, but there are definitely elements that disappoint me. I would have enjoyed the game even more if I had waited a month for the price to drop.

I think this is a fair comment and I think this is what I am going to do as well

I think I will be doing so for DA3, though I hope that the Signature/Limited/Collectors Edition differs from the standard one. I'm not talking about DLC content or whatever here, I'm talking about things like an artwork book, music on a cd, cloth maps and so on. I missed the Collector's Edition of Origins, something I'm still sad about. The Signature Edition for DA2 has a nice cover, but that's about it really. I compare it to ME2's Collectors Edition, which is far more impressive looking on my shelf of games.

That being said, I will be pre-ordering eventually, as I am highly intrigued to see where the story is going..

No way. Bought DA2 on release date and regretted paying the $60 for it.

With DA3, well, learned my lesson. Going to wait and see how the game is first, ie read reviews and such, and then probably wait until it goes on sale :P

Yup. I didn't love DA2 as much as DA:O, but I'm playing and replaying it. So yeah.

I would preorder DA3 if it had a respectable development cycle to create an RPG where our choices actually matter, the game takes place in a dynamic world where level designs are not re-used so insanely much and takes place in a nation with distinct areas more like DA:O and exploring Ferelden, had extensive QA testing, a demo was released that showed a little more depth than just tapping A, an auto attack function, and the written guarantee that I will never EVER play a game that is created with the phrase "Press a button and something awesome happens" in mind.

Yes. I have faith in Bioware to make quality games and despite the naysayers, I say DA2 is quality. I'm on my fourth playthrough, still having a blast. I enjoy the setting very much and look forward to more.

Preorder? Yeah. Pick up? Yeah. Open BEFORE the ratings come in? Nope. If it is good I'll have the preorder bonuses. If not? Well I have a receipt and it's unopened. In fact I think that's what I'm going to do to ME3 as well.

..I went down a similar path a little while ago with another company, Ubisoft.

I bought every single one of their games, HAWX, Assassins Creed, Settlers...I loved them all. Then...they went a path of DRM nightmare for PC users.
Despite the fact that I am desperate to play HAWX2, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Settlers 7...I refrained because I would rather suffer the lack of games than submit to something that severely upsets me.

I think I might make the same stand here. Unless changes are wrought. DA3. You will be lucky to be a bargain bin pickup.

GAH..the more I try to like this game...the more I dislike it...I need to get away from it for a while. :(

First C&C, now DA...ME started heading down the point of no return in ME2..but redeemed itself with some awesome DLC...I really hate being a gamer. How dare you make us so passionate about such things!

I seen a lot people like you say the same thing before the released... the same people that now says DA2 is garbage...

I won't pre order ,   I will buy it after reading a few good reviews (from smaller indie gaming sites that dont live off advertising from EA) and if they bring back the choice to play an elf or a dwarf, customization-able companion armour and so on.
oh and a tool set promise would also seal the deal.
hmmm  chances are i wont be buying it huh, well we live in hope

Yes I would

I loved da2, I thought the idea of you playing a more roll to push the story forward was good. Just like me2 was more fixed then it predecessor it mean that the 3rd game can have so much more freedom. I don't believe Bioware will disappoint, also as for the lack of race options and lack of dialog choices. I found that outside of a few exeptions most of the time you only had 2to4 options in origins on desitions anywas just different wording. As for races same problem outside of a few dialog options here and there your race and origin story was irelevant.

So ya da3 Id preorder it today if I could :D

No.  It's amazing from reading the comments how many people accept and defend mediocrity.

About as 'amazing' at how many smug self-importants feel grossly over-superior for having the 'correct' opinion.

OMG, how dare they have tastes other than yours. What is the world coming to?

:BACK ON TOPIC:
As for me, yes, I will be pre-ordering. Not to say that there weren't changes in DA2 that upset me; the removal of tactic view, the fewer options in chatting with your companions, etc. But overall I am enjoying the game, and loved the fact that the whole mages VS templars thing was the focus. Now if they could address this problem with the elves...maybe something for DA3 to tackle?

I am a BioWare fangirl; I can't help it. There are few games that have romance as an element, let alone that are so LGBT-friendly. As a gaymer, I appreciate being included - and probably have more pateince than most because of it. :P
