Call me a tool, but I will. I understand what they were trying to do and I still have trust. Besides, while DA2 was extremely short, I did enjoy what there was of it. I think DA2 is a far better game than Final Fantasy 2 and there have been many good games since. I will say that there are other series I stopped playing and that will be true of Dragon Age if DA3 is lacking. I'll also say that I doubt any but one of my friends will be buying DA3 in its first week. They'll be waiting for me to tell them what it's like and to answer questions. (Me, as opposed to review sites or forums, being someone they know whose likes and dislikes they know and who is not paid to promote the game.)

Day One DLC? Available for free when pre-ordered? I guess I would.

Yes, I play it for the story, and I just HAVE to know what happens next.

Considering the dumbing down streamlining trend on which Bioware has embarked, am pretty certain this is akin to what DA3 will turn out to be:

Yeesh, it still is about 3 months until Dragon Age 3 gets released, that's enough time to think about making a decision.

Wait until christmas 2011 and buy the Signature Ultimate Mega Platinum Edition ™ that includes Dragon Age:Origins, Dragon Age: Awakening, Dragon Age: Rise to Power, Dragon Age 3, Dragon Age 3: Rise to Honor and Dragon Fantasy Warriors Dynasty X-2 with ALL 21 DLC packages (15 alternative appearances, 6 actual story DLC packs).

Pre-Order before summer and get the "Straight DLC" that adds straight romances for Dragon Age 3!

Depends. I'd want to know what it's about first. If it finally covers the whole morrigan and flemeth story, definitely, I'd preorder it faster than you can say the word, even despite the fact I didn't think DA2 was that great.

I'll preorder if they bring back the lead designer from Origins and give him a free hand. Other than that, I'll wait.

but i can't blacklist Bioware. If i look on my shelf i see KOTOR 1&2 - DA:O and ME 1&2 boxes.

KotOR 2 was made by Obsidian, not BioWare.

Oh  true, sorry for my mistake. So i don't blacklist Obsidian too :)
Btw i love Fallout New Vegas from Obsidian

PS: T is an awesome Black Isle game.
Obsidian is formed with many BI employees after BI broke up.
Kotor 2 is an OK Obsidian game.
NWN 2 is an OK Obsidian game.
NWN2: MoTB is a great Obsidian game.
NWN2: SoZ cannot be good. Table-top DnD is multiplayer only, making it a single-player game is insane. So I didn't buy it.

So after all that, Obsidian seems OK.
Now. Alpha Protocol. What the f*ck is that sh*t.
Never bought Obsidian games since.

Might want to try Fallout: NV after your comment.

Yes. I have had lots of fun with both DAO and DA2. DA3 will be a great game too.

Nope. DA: Origins greatness caused me to pre-order DA 2 with no questions, but the disappointment with DA 2 will make me think twice about part 3 or any new DLC/Expansion

No, and I think no explanation is needed for this statement. As a big fan of DA:O and Awakening, second game was mostly disapointing for me.

In DA:O player could feel how much joy and love from the <3s of developers were inserted in the game, in DA 2 I didn't feel any of it. It was a product made for money and nothing more.

I lol'ed. Much.

Sad thing is I can imagine that to actually happen. It's EA after all. >__>

When DA3 comes out, I will definitely not be preordering. Instead I will wait for the metacritic reviews, because my faith in Bioware has disappeared, and I will no longer blindly entrust my money to them.

I agree completely. No more first day purchases from me.

Morrigan/Warden based story, yes, anything else probably not.

Nope, after Mass Effect 3 I'm done with Bioware. I just want to see how that trilogy ends (before the spin offs and multiplayer shooters, etc.) as I don't like the direction they are taking their games to.

I did not preorder DA2 becouse i was worried about it, now than i am playing it i'm really liking it. If they don't mess up with expansions and dlc like did in origins and keep the quality high i will for sure preorder DA3.

I preordered DA:2 cause I liked the demo and had been checking in on the game for months. If DA3 looks impressive, then yes, I'll preorder.

I have a hard time believing EA is at fault here when it comes to shorter dev cycles, the VP of EA is Gregory P. Zeschuk, I doubt there is any strongarming going on.

Yes I will preorder it.

Did I like Origins better than DA ][: Yes
But did I like DA ][ anyway: Yes

Unlike some of the more dramatic members of the forum, this game did not "ruin my image of Bioware"

Nope

I pre-ordered this months in advance and wish I hadn't - I should have waited and bought this game 2nd hand - I was that disappointed :/

I didn't even dare to try it and probably won't. The demo didn't impress me at all and there are too many bad critics. "Yeah but you should give the game a chance and make your own opinion''. No, i'm sorry but it's not normal that a game generates that much controversy. I've watched many live gameplay reviews to know this game has been rushed. Yeah sometimes watching a couple of spoilers can save you some bucks.

So, no, I won't preorder Dragon Age 3 ... I'm still far too angry.

Everyone here will because EA will blakmail you into it.

EA: "All the day one DLC will be free if you preorder everyone.  What was that?  Oh it's EXTRA content, that's why it's not included in the game even though it's available at launch, there was no need to put it in the game, so be good little lemmings and don't question us. Now preorder or I'll kill this kitten."

Their going to have to promise that all the DLCs will be of high quality and all of them including ones that will be released in the future will be free if I pre-order... I mean I got the Signature but eh the Signature items kind of were obsolete after a while. The DLCs were ok, but it feels like they should have just been incorporated into the game.
