I will if I like the look of it, same as I did for DA2 (which I liked).

I didn't pre-order but I did buy it when it hit the store shelves a few days after release. Even that was a mistake in retrospect, since although I thoroughly enjoy the game, there are some bugs that just should have been ironed out prior to release. That speaks volumes to me in terms of this developers time constraints. Lesson learned, I'll just wait a few months after initial release of a game to have a polished product. This is the norm in the industry now unfortunately. Quality testing is taking a back seat.

 A simple poll.

For me, I preordered DA2 on Steam, and now I regret my decision. If I had known the truth I would have waited till the price dropped on Steam, as it was not worth 60 USD.

When DA3 comes out, I will definitely not be preordering. Instead I will wait for the metacritic reviews, because my faith in Bioware has disappeared, and I will no longer blindly entrust my money to them.

HA HA HA ,

Not a chance, but i would consider buying it after i read a lot of user reviews (if there good)-_-

My strong suspicion is the DA3 will have a more globetrotting feel to it, especially now that we have Isabella and access to a ship.

Hey HerpDerp, not everyone is going to have that ending.

And what is this about Laidlow making an excuse?

Hell yes.  I loved DAO, and I love DA2 just as much, if not more.  I know it is a long way off, but DA3 will be installed the morning it is released, for certain.

Nope, not unless they make the combat like it was in Origins.

Please god no....
Combat in DAO was so slow and repetitive.  Repetitive combat animations, repetitive tactics (CoC + shatter = win), repetitive everything.  Strategic my arse.  Combat was the thing I had to get through to get to make the story go forward.  Now that it is actually exciting and entertaining you want to regress?

Combat sucks compared to DA:O, if you don't like origins then go play every other hack and slash "RPG." And leave classics alone.

"Combat in DAO was so slow and repetitive."

And combat in DA2 was stupidfast and repetitive to near unbelief. On anything but nightmare all a mage has to do is cast Gravitic Ring, Pull of the Abyss, walking bomb, and kill target, and everything nearby, with walking bomb. And use firestrom to kill anything left. Even works on nightmare, except the firestorm part as the rooms are so crowded most of the time you will firestorm yourself.

Also it's only fast if your not a mage or rogue that is getting constantly knocked back to death.

Yep your right, DA2's combat is so much better!!!!111

To keep on topic, no chance I will preorder if it's more of DA2 after starting playing DA:O again.

Yes, but honestly give it a longer development cycle and axe the recurring dungeons, I say. I don't think Dragon Age II was nearly long enough and I took my time with the game, haha.

Frankly, I'm eagerly anticipating future DLC. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us. I so want to have a female Qunari companion! :D

I'm not buying anymore Bioware games starting with DA2, unless they revert to at least DAO mode of game development.

Not unless Bioware paid me to do so, otherwise it's wait till it hits the bargain bin on Steam.

I'd need to learn more about it, just like I had to with DA2. If I liked what I'd hear, then yes.

That said, the game isn't awful. It just isn't a worthy successor to DA:O. It's tiny and claustrophobic with awful enemy scaling that has street thugs challenge your level 20+ Legendary and wave spawns.

The companions are fun and some of the stuff that happens is interesting the first time through. Perhaps I'll revisit the game some time if it gets modded to fix the lameness.

All of this. It isn't awful it all, it's visually stunning, fun companions, brilliant dialogue, a voiced protagonist with a personality you help shape, but yes, " tiny and claustrophobic with awful enemy scaling that has street thugs challenge your level 20+ Legendary and wave spawns."

Ugh the recycled locations.

This game needs a toolset so we can mod it and enrich it further :P If DA3 is a worthy blend of what makes DA2 and Origins work I'll buy it, but I honestly don't know if I'll preorder it. It depends on how Bioware handles DA2's bug fixes, dlc and criticism.

no way in hell,in fact i stopped pre ordering from anyone after mafia 2,this practice of lying and deception to sell a game fast and below a standard we can accept is so widespread i wouldnt trust my own mrs if she promised the earth,as i know i would get a bucket of dirt.

stop the practice,stop pre ordering.
buy only when you can see and read the truth.

let the muttonheads buy and get striped, and then read thier moans to save you from the stress.

Unless DA3 gets a fullscale development cycle and the developers take it the opposite direction DA2 was taken, not a chance I'll be pre-ordering it. Not even buying it until I see some valid reviews and user responses. Don't have any tiny piece of good faith left after the trick they did with DA2.

First of all, having "faith" in a company is incredibly stupid. They do not need your "faith" or "support" or "fandom", all they need is your money and any free advertisement you give them when you mindlessly gush about their products. Just like nobody in this life is completely trustworthy, neither are companies. In fact they are less trustworthy since they work for profit and any possible legal means are used to get it.

Preordering games or other products is also foolishness. Paying before you know what you are buying is one of the biggest mistakes you can make. Stop being sheep with short attention span and no patience.

I haven't played DA2 yet, so I can't comment on the Game specifically...
But my own personal rule is to never Pre-Order anything. No matter who has developed the Game, the first 3-6 months always seems to play out like the final Beta Test for a Game.
Even with the best of intentions and the greatest QA, a company simply can not test for every possible PC configuration.
For Consoles (I don't personally have one) there is NO excuse for a Game to be released with bugs because you CAN test for conflicts.

It depends on how long the development cycle is and what the previews have to say about the game.

Not at this point. I had a pre-order for MEpc, and canceled it due to the original drm for it. I did pre-order DA:O. After reading the forum, and the information released about DA2, I didn't pre-order and haven't bought it, although I did play my brother's copy. I won't be pre-ordering any new game from EABioware, considering the direction they seem to be heading. Waiting to see what the end result actually is makes more sense to me.

I might have only payed 35 (like 48 dollars/28 pounds) euro for this, but it still cost too much.

If it has a longer development time than two years yes, if not then I'm just going to stick to Skyrim.
