 I downloaded the EP DLC after I beat the game and sided with the mages.

After installing the EP DLC, I reloaded an older save game which was still near the end
of the last act.

I talked to Sabastian and he joined my party.

I sided with the Mages.

Sabastian left me, he was not happy with my Mage-Siding.

Now I beat the game again and cannot leave Hawkes Estate...

I pay $10 US so this bull****** character can join my party for 5 minutes, then nothing?? I cant
leave the damned estate?  Is this a bug? maybe a Joke EA/Bioware?
HELP?

Well, you did load an Act 3 save... He joins your party a lot earlier.

Sebastian is integrated into the main game, you need to use a save from Act 1 (or a fresh game) to use the DLC fully.

I want to continue playing after beating the game? This is not intended? After beating the game it says "Congratulations, thank you for beating dragon age 2 their are more missions to complete go download new content and spend $10 for nothing?" Seriously thats what it says does it not? I'm really pissed...do you know how many people this misleading lie has ripped cleanly off? OMG this is criminal at very least. So nobody can confirm this is a bug? I cant go back to the Chantry board after beating it and carry on playing? WTH...wowwww If my money is not refunded back to my credit card then im going to initiate some kind of small claims action.

This is not a bug.  Sebastian is integrated into the game.  Future DLC will be able to be done AFTER the game is completed.  Did you not play Dragon Age Origins?  Shale was nearly worthless if you got her after you beat the game already.  So, it's not a misleading lie. It's your misinterpretation of the way things work with Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2.

Sebastian is meant to be there from the beginning.  That's not a bug, it's a fact.  Start a new character and side with the templars this time.  Chill, and more DLC will come out later that wil allow you to continue playing.

thankyou I got alittle hot headed, if you google "Cannot leave hawke estate" you will see others have been misled or misinformed about the true nature of the EP DLC, which those made me mad as well, but its cool I was thinkin about playing through it again anyways

I have a question almost about this.

I replayed act 3 so that Sebastian will leave me for choosing the mages.
Still after completing the came I can only visit the black emporium.
I cannot visit any other part of the city, everything is darkened...

Is it like this for everyone after completing the game?

VV00d13, pretty much its that way unless you purchase legacy then you get an additional scenario which starts at the statue upstairs in the library. But the front door to other locations is gone, you might be able to get to the Black Emporium but I am not sure.

yes black emporium is still accesible after beating the game, same for legacy and probably the upcoming Mark of the Assasin DLC. Everything else is no longer accesible since its no longer of use anyway.
