How did Merrill get the Eluvian?

I'm probably wrong, but I've found a small plot hole. In the Witch Hunt DLC, you find the Eluvian used by the Dales in the same spot. This was two and a half years after Origins or Awakening. However, one year after the Blight, Merrill has the mirror.

Plot holes. With them, anything is possible.

The Witch Hunt one is another mirror. Which makes sense, as there must've been many of them originally.

You see, I would understand this, however, they go into detail about how sparce they are still and how the one they are going to find was in fact the one that came in contact with Merrill's tribe.

I haven't played Witch Hunt in ages, but maybe they just assumed it was the same one?
After all, Morrigan's is not corrupted and not shattered.

I've pretty much switched off to the numerous plotholes and taken the game for what it is.

Didn't Merrill only take a shard of the Eluvian?

I might be wrong, but I don't think Merrill has the mirror in Act 1. She has it in Act 2. So maybe she traveled back to Ferelden in between Act 1 and 2?

Please note, the one that Merrill has is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than an entire Eluvian, meaning, there must have been several shards left over at the original site to be found during Witch Hunt

Yes, she mentions she only has a single shard I think. As well as there is not just One Eluvian in all of Thedas.

Well you can never tell with the model and art changes but that sounds reasonable enough.

What? Merrill's Eluvian was the one found in the Bercillian Forest during the Dalish Elf Origin. It's been corrupted by the Darkspawn taint and was smashed into little pieces by Duncan. The one Morrigan used was a working Eluvian under the Dragonbone Waste. Yes they're sparse but it's concievable that Morrigan manages to find one that works with all that knowledge from Flemeth's Black Grimoire.

Indeed. Merrill makes a large, scary mirror from one shard.

How does she grow it? She feeds it her blood. Merrill is Seymour Krelboin and the Eluvian is Audrey II.

Think about it.

This is correct. Does Merrill not explain that she's painstakingly reconstructed the mirror using the shard?

I actually don't recall her ever saying this. It's something I assumed after watching her fiddle with one shard in her intro and suddenly have a massive mirror in her house in Act 2.

I do recall her talking about reconstructing it so I might have just missed a line or implication.

Mr. Gaider how does Duncan smash the mirror if he was seeking other recruits in different origins? Do all the Origins happen at different times? Like some origins are weeks apart from others?

I think the original question though was how can they go back to the ruin where the one in the Bracilian Forest was if Merril has it, and it's simple, she only took part of it, the rest was still therer

All of the Origin events happen, it's just that everyone that doesn't become the warden dies

She does. I think the question is more "How did she rebuild it if the mirror from the DE origin was still in its original place in WH?", Mr. Gaider. Did she gather up all the little broken pieces and put them back together or somehow create the missing parts using her shard?

EDIT: Actually, OP, is the mirror itself still there or just the frame? I haven't played WH since it came out, I don't remember the details of that bit in the cave besides Arianne's ring conversation.

In other words, did she gather up all the little broken pieces and put them back together or somehow create the missing parts using her shard?

I assumed she took the frame and was regenerating the pieces of the panel with the shard as a base.

When you first come upon her, you can see she's fiddling with something sharp and shiny.
