Hello, I've recently played Dragon Age 2 and I liked it so much I decided to write my play-through. I also put forward a theory that might explain some of the game's issues. Thanks for any feedback you might have.

I read you post and found it very interesting.  It gave me a new perspective on the reuse of all of the locations in the game, although I'm sure that's not the reason they did it.  But if I might offer up some spoilers.  Stop reading here if don't want to read them.








Your mother dies even if you kill him.  Bioware has made it so that she always dies.  There are 2 ways to save your sister in the beginning (leave her behind and she is discovered by the templars and put in the gallows or take her and Anders into the Deep Roads and he makes her a Grey Warden when she is attacked and she leaves to be with the Wardens, but either way you still lose her until the end of the game and even then I believe she can die in the final fight.
