I think she is the most underrated female in this game.  By far the most attractive if you don't like female bodybuilders and filthy pirate h**kers as Ron Burgundy would put it.

No, your kids wouldn't. Elf/Human mixes produce human looking offspring.

So ha!

Or... something. I d-don't really know.

Well I would see a geneticist to make sure my kids had her dominant genes so the world would be a better place. Because all other men that missed out on Merill could at least bang my daughters.

They haven't got geneticists! Er. Do they?

I had to stop my first playthrough halfway through because I was playing a mage and didn't need two mages in the party, but HAD to romance Merrill, and keep her around for as much dialogue as possible. So I started over and had a Merrill-centric game :D

Merill in a nightgown was the best part of the game. Screw the high dragon or the arishok. I want to romance her over and over and over, and there should be an achievement for it.

And I am suddenly quite glad Merrill does not exist.

If only people had the mental capacity to have a sense of humor and understand sarcasm.  That too would make the world a better place.

If Jesus came down and saw what you were doing, he'd never stop puking.

LOL. Nevermind me being a nonbeliever, that was quite an image.

Not true. "Elf-blooded" children have elven characteristics. Check out Feynriel's nose and ears. Elfy as ****. I'm curious as to why these offspring aren't considered "half-elves" but humans.

Well, it appears that if the human parent also has a lot of elf in them, then the child may show some elven characteristics. We really don't know what's up with Feynriel hahah, he's not a normal case.

It's a new change to lore. Previously, the offspring of a human and an elf would simply be human. Now, they're... still human, but are visibly partly-elven in some sort of fashion.

Does Vincento have elven blood in him? It's possible that it says that in a codex entry or some conversation option I missed/wasn't paying attention to. But I'm pretty sure Gaider mentioned that human/elf offspring had elven characteristics on the old boards (I can't find the post, though). It's not just Feynriel. So, why are they considered fully human? What's the difference between elves and humans aside from their faces? Elves might generally be slightly better at magic, but only generally. And they aren't immortal anymore. Until I hear otherwise, I'm just going to assume that half-elves are A Thing and that elves deny it because they are just super-racist.

There was another post where DG was quoted mentioning that. So maybe Vincento does, but I wasn't really saying he did just that it appears that is the possible reason. I will be digging that post up now. Posted Image

Are half-dwarves the only half-something in DA?
Sort of.

There was a time when I think I said that humans and elves interbreeding produced either fully human or fully elven children. That's changed. Their offspring is always fully human (albeit possibly with some minor elven physical traits and therefore such humans are often called "elf-blooded").

But there you go.

The real question is whether doing that results in a half-Tolkienite.

Right, but what happens when a character has one human
great-grandparent, and 7 elven great-grandparents? Would he still be
human, or would the elven genes revert back to elven?

Still fully human, though I suspect the chances of gaining some odd (odd
for humans, anyhow) elven appearance traits might be higher in such a
circumstance.

What does it even mean that they're fully human but still have elven traits? Gaideeeeeeeeeeer. Whatever. Fantasy genetics aren't here to make friends. Or any sense.

Merill is not a child,.
Perhaps you should look up the meaning of that word before using it.
