I want to do this: (pasted from the wiki about a fix to an issue i have)

"Despite both quests giving you access to the hatch in the Crown and Lion, this quest is only obtainable after you finish Smuggler's Run. Completing Law and Order will not trigger its appearance on the Merchants' Guild Board, thereby making this quest unobtainable. A solution is to compile the debug script "zz_getsetplotflag" with the toolset, then move the compiled script into your "Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override" folder. This will make it usable in Awakening. Once you have moved it, open the console and issue the command "runscript zz_getsetplotflag set coa100pt_board_cove_ds 0 1". The quest will now appear on the Merchants' Guild Board."

I have the toolset but i cannot seem to find the file 'zz_getsetplotflag '. I searched through the debug folder, nothing :(

Please help if you can, I am at the end of the game and I would like to get this stuff before I move on to the DLC's

Hi All,
I'm in the same situation too - I read up on the Dragon Age Wiki that:
1. Completing Smuggler's Run gives you the fifth Merchant Board Quest, which opens up Yuriah's third level of upgraded stock.
2. Completing Law and Order does not give you the fifth Quest due to a bug/etc, and therefore you can't open up Yuriah's third level.
3. The Law and Order quest lets you get a piece of the Trickster Set and the Nimble Set and a better Epilogue.

I saw the answer Draupnir9 posted here (and on the Dragon Age Wiki) and installed the Toolset 1.01, but don't see that zz_getsetplotflag either. Could someone please clarify where we can get it, or how to build it?

(Lastly, a user named Shard Of Truth posted the answer about the zz_getsetplotflag, but I missed the details on how to implement it). Tips from the board would most definitely be appreciated. :)

Thanks!

zz_getsetplotflag can be used as a console command, so you don't actually need the toolset.

I see that wiki entry says some commands don't work in release 1.04, but I haven't verified that.

If you do need to find it in the toolset for some reason, you need to know that it's an official campaign script, not a core script. File > Manage Modules > Single Player, then look at the scripts in the _Debug folder.

I'm not sure which wiki entry the OP has in mind, but I hope this helps.

Thank you Proleric1 I was able to find the script by loading single player (toolset defaulted in demo apparently) and clicking the all button above the scripts and vola it was in the debug folder.

Now all I need to do is figure out how to compile it. This is totally out of my comfort zone and I am sure its simple but I do not see a compile button anywhere, lol. if somebody could tell me how to do this that would be amazing!

although I already quoted the important part in the OP, here is a link to the wiki article that details the solution: http://dragonage.wik...gs_From_Beneath

heyas;

i think compile is f7. (or f5). or, you can type a space somwhere in the script and hit save. it will compile and save. i'm not sure why he says you need to compile it.

perhaps you only need to export it? right click the script in the script list, then 'export without dependent resources.' it will still most likely grab 128 scripts that are 'not dependent resources' to export with it. don't worry about those.

i'm not sure where it will put the exported script. if its not already in packages/core, it might be under modules/single player? anyhow, find the script and move it to where he says.

Finally, I got it working, YAY! The crappy part though is even after i get the updated stock from Yuriah he still dosent sell the paragon dweomer rune due to another bug! :( This is hilarious how much time I spend in awakenings trying to overcome serious bugs that bioware never fully patched (I got hit by the silverite mine delete your stuff bug and had to start over the first time). As far as I am concerned this expansion game is broken due to bugs, and even though it is a good game I would strongly recommend against it to anyone!

Just to simplify the task for people who might encounter this problem in the future and have to wait a long time to get enough clues to fix it like me, here is what you need to do to fix this:

1) download the toolset for dragon age

2) open the toolset and make sure to load the single player version after you load up the toolset (starts out in demo version)

3) on the left side of the toolset window are scripts - click the "ALL" graphic and in the debug folder you will find a script called: zz_getsetplotflag

4)Double click and it will load up in the window then either press the 'compile button on the top of the screen or f5 to compile it and it will save it in a folder located in: mydocs/bioware/dragonage/modules/singleplayer/override/toolsetexport (or something close to this)

5)you now have to move the files in the above location to mydocs\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core\\override (or similar location)

6 Now you have to go to the console in game. To do this here is the link: http://dragonage.wik...onsole_(Origins)
or just add (1 space before the dash) -enabledeveloperconsole to the target of a shortcut of the main exe file for the game (not the dalauncher, the main file which is in dragonage/bin_ship)

7)using that shortcut load you save then press the grave key (little dot thing sharing a key with the tilde key which is usually right under the escape key). note: it is not very apparent that you are in the console when you do this but you wont be able to move you character and even though nothing shows up you can now type commands.

8) Type: runscript zz_getsetplotflag set coa100pt_board_cove_ds 0 1
then press enter and it will open the quest up for you. (I dont think copy and paste works, didnt for me, you have to actually type it)

Thanks for everyone who contributed to me finding a solution, I just wish bioware could actually patch these things themselves but whatever (4 major patches I encountered during my playthrough)

I'm glad you could work it out.:)

To get the missing runes and recipes use the additem mod or just type "runscript fab" to get into a debug room and take the stuff yourself.
I strongly recommend to use Awakening Rune Fixes Mod as well.

I made a project with the getsetplotflag script for everyone who doesn't want to install the toolset (and overcome the many errors that can happen with it) just to fix a bug or two.

Thanks all, definitely appreciate it! :)
I'm not quite there yet in the game, but will definitely make use of these files/procedures when I am! :) Have a great day all!
