So there are some open questions. But as the story of the Champion's involvement in the start of a world shattering rebellion is finished, i was satisfied by the plot. It's not a bad thing to leave some hooks for a sequel.

Why she came? Generally her whole being is rather enigmatic, secretive. Would we be this fascinated by her if we knew her motives and goals?
Other question were raised that my character would like to learn of, like is Kirkwall really a special location? Will the Divine send her armies? What are the Wardens up to? Will there be a war with Ferelden? What did Alistair want with me anyway? Will the Qunary attack again? What is the abyss Flemeth talked about? Everything about Sandal. And a few more depending on char choices: where did Anders go when I told him to get lost. Did Sebastian become Prince and raise an army against me? Will I ever learn who from the Circle supported that insane guy killing my mother?
However I see these as good questions, because this makes us engaged and talk/think about the game even after we had our many play throughs. What would be the point of talking about these if there was nothing left in the dark?

As for where did Anders go ... well, I told him to get lost, Sebastian ran off since I didn't kill him, and since I elected to save the mages I went to the Circle tower ... only to find Anders, who asked to rejoin my party since I was fighting for mages. I did have the option of telling him to get lost again, but I said yes because I really needed a healer. Bethany's one heal spell wasn't cutting it in the quick jaunt from Lowtown to the Gallows, ha.
Btw, Orsino was the "O" who supported the guy who killed Hawke's mother. He mentions it right before turning himself into the Harvester.

Well, knowing everyone parted ways at the end (except for my lover) made me think.. "Wait.. What happened to Bethany then..? Did she also part ways with me..? o.O" I couldn't help but wonder that as the credits came up xD Cuz ya'know.. They're family, and she was in the Circle and all that stuffz happened with them, i thought she'd have ran away with Hawke, but did she leave her and go her own way? Or did she stay with the Circle??? Or go to another one?? *Goes crazy thinking about it!* Ahahaha ;D
I Hope all of these questions are answered in DA3..but there are probably too many to answer each query individually though. How cool would it be if DA3 had both the Champion and the Warden as companions and you could alternate or choose between which you wanted. just a thought..though I know it won't happen!

Good point. Hadn't thought of that, but now that you point it out, it does call for an explanation. It seems unlikely that she would part from Hawke voluntarily, given that she's a family-kinda-girl. I guess we'll (hopefully) find out in DA3.

I haven't had the play through where you do. There are some ways to learn it, yeah. Or so I heard.caradoc2000 wrote...

That being said, I don't mind the unanswered questions. In my opinion, no piece of literature, film, or game should wrap everything up in a neat little bow. Otherwise, what will you do when it's over? There's nothing to think about, nothing to ponder. It's over, done, kaput. So I'd much rather have a few plot threads dangling, letting me wonder.
Edit: Just as a note about Quentin...it's never really spelled out in the game, but Orsino's the one who supported him. The note you find in Quentin's lair is signed "O." Fastforward to the endgame and Orsino, before becoming the Harvester, says "Quentin's research was too dangerous." Note, I've only ever sided with the mages. I don't know if he still says this during a templar run (though I can't imagine he wouldn't).

I like how everyone assumes all will be revealed by the end of DA3. As far as I can recall, no one's said anything about Dragon Age being a trilogy. It could very well keep going.

I've never assumed this to be a trilogy either
