Just thought I'd mention this to see if anyone has seen this or knows how to prevent this. Dragon Age 2 is the only game I have that seems to have a problem minimizing if left idle long enough for the screensaver to kick in. I have it running in full screen mode. Windows 7 64 bit.
Thanks all.

So, why are you sitting with the game idle that long? Even then, is the game being minimized while you are away that big a deal?
I'm not meaning to diminish your post, just asking why this is a concern?

My game automatically minimized on me as well a couple times. I thought it crashed, but noticed the game tab will still there and when I clicked it, everything was fine again. I'm not so sure this has to do with the game being idle because I was in the middle of playing when it happened to me.
I never had a game do this before, therefore, it is a concern. Games should not automatically minimize themselves under any circumstances...

My game minimizes on me while I'm playing for the stupidest reasons, like receiving an email or IM, or a reminder that my printer is running low on ink. I can shut off email and IM, but about the only thing I can do apart from that is hit F5 a lot.

Similar problems were reported, IIRC, with DA:Origins. It had something to do, in part, with the virus scanner being used... anyone here using AVG?

You're right, it's not a very big deal, but it is annoying, and either I'm missing something really obvious, or the game doesn't run in full-screen properly. It's not comforting to know that if you end up away from the game for a while for whatever reason, it might do it's own thing or even do something like automatic updates that restart the computer... but yea you can completely live with it, just need to keep an eye on it
