For one, I've never found this weapon on my own, nor is it listed as a weapon in the official guide. I only found it today from an item mod, summoned forth with the console commands.

Is there a way to get this weapon normally, or is it just stashed there in the database for future DLC?

(Truth be told, I'm not sure if this is the right subforum for this topic..)

There's a thread here: http://social.biowar...index/3276280/1

I know of the thread. There aren't any relevant information in it. Plus thread necros are somewhat frowned upon on these forums.

Yeah thats an ancient pre-release topic no reason to resurrect it.
The fact is the sword does EXIST in the game files, and its quite damaging and devastating(as it ignores armor).
So if it can be obtained in game is a nice question, my guess is no, maybe the cut it or maybe its reserved for a DLC

On Nightmare you can enter a cave in Act III near the Sundermount with two High Dragons together, once you beat both you can loot their horde of treasure and the sword is part of the stash.

It's a joke.

Anyway, if nobody really knows, I guess it's safe to assume it can only be obtained through the command console so far? Probably be in a DLC then, since the sword comes with its own codex entry..

Probably. Can you tell me what the codex says?

I can do better; here's a screenshot of the codex entry.

erm it's not a joke, I'll have a look for the save to get screenshots. The cave branches off of the Sundermount path that leads away from where Flemeth is revived. The drops are unmentionable except for the sword itself.

Screenshots of the cave entrance and the dragons will be great, thanks.

The only cave than branches off away from Flemeth's spot leads to the Pride demon. No dragons there. Screenshots of the location on the map, visual entrance, along with the dragons will be better. Or is there a requirement to trigger the dragons instead?

So far, the Dragon Age Wiki lists acquisition as "Unknown"

Don't worry, a price just needs to be set first.

I know there is a sword that uses it's model, you get it from the pride demon at the end of the vil tomes questline.

I think. Could be somewhere else, my memory is getting unreliable these days.

Interesting... and pretty weird if true: you'd think they'd want a recurring story element, even if basically an Infinity +1 Sword, to be 'out in the open', not just there for the most hardcore of the hardcore.

My guess is that if it was obtainable by normal means, the guide would list it. But it does not, so it's probably reserved for DLC/expansion.

My guess would be we'll find a lot of material the guide doesn't have or presents incorrectly.

Could be it was an intended import plot flag from an Awakening save that isn't triggering correctly.

^ Hmm, could be that too. Who knows.

I'm concluding that the sword cannot be obtained normally for the moment.. since not one person can provide evidence or details of getting this elusive sword.
