Awakening is great. 30 hours of fun new content. It's far too easy with your now OP characters but the plot was really enjoyable. There are one or two bugs though so make sure you save regularly.

It's buggy. How much so varies, although it's better with the most recent patch. The dialogue system is very poor compared to Origins. On the other hand, the expansion as a whole seems a whole lot better now that DA2 has come out.

The only thing i didn't like about it was that, at around level 30, you have such a large amount of different spells and abilities all you have to do is run in, use them all, and win the fight. even on nightmare i found myself breezing through it.

You can find awakening from the bargain bins nowdays. It continues orgins questline and gameplay is quite similar so I wouldn't hesitate. Besides because DA2 was such a massive letdown..awakening is the best Dragon age you can get since orgins ofcourse :)

Awakening is great if you bear in mind its an expansion. It continues the story of your Warden, which is awesome, and to be honest if you are interested in the series as a whole/your Warden's story, you should really get it. Beyond that, it was infamously buggy, but patches have made this a bit better. I have had no bugs if I do the main quest lines in this order:
1. Blackmarsh
2. Silverite Mines
3. Kal Sharok

Actually, tell a lie, I've had one bug; it is impossible to make Sigrun a Warden if you do that. But i never liked her anyway, so yeah.

If you're going to play AWK on the PC, remember to DISABLE Warden's Keep DLC from the "Installed Content" tab on main game menu/Downloadable Content. It has some incompatibility with Awakening and messes up the looks of Vigilance sword, making it look just like Starfang. (ENABLE it again for any other DLC or Origins run)

Other than that, bugs can be fixed with patches, player made mods from Dragon Age Nexus (set items that were left pout of the game) and entering the Silverite Mines with a bare naked party so you don't lose any item, (funny if you use a nude mod!), or simply equipping low level requirement items because that's what causes the bug. If the buggers that will steal and use your equip does not have the required attributes, the item vanishes and won't be there when you should get them all back!

I liked the Awakening. Encountered only one serious bug (the Silverite Mine equipment dissapearing) but you can easily work around it.

I also liked Awakening, too bad there was not more content that used Awakening abilities. It also seems that Golems of Amgarrak will be alot easier if you have an Awakening character to import.

I enjoyed Awakening even more than I enjoyed Origins . . . and I enjoyed Origins a lot!

I found Awakening more focussed than Origins. And it was fun to see what happened next, after the Origins story ended. Plus, maybe I enjoyed Awakening more because the more I played DA, the more I liked it, so by the time I got to Awakening, the enjoyment level was already higher than when it was when I started playing Origins. In other words, I was more into the DA universe by the time I started Awakening.
