But I like Fenris, the reluctant and hesitation is consistent with his background and personality. If he comes off as desperate as Anders, he won't be cool~ I don't mind replaying a couple of quests to get his romance right.

That's probably how it goes. The romances are all different, and sometimes I can't quite recall what conversations are involved. Especially for those I didn't write. But basically, the Fenris/Izzie banter shouldn't happen unless you have broken it off, or turned them down.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe any active given romance ends if you either:
- select a heartbreak at any time
- have either Anders or Merrill move in with you (does not end romance for whoever moved in)
Is this correct?
Yes, apparently Anders and Merrill romances supercede all the others. Though, I don't know who supercedes who if you romance both Anders and Merrill. Who ever was last?

So I hate isabela less now. I got the banter where she and fen are talking about how she has the hots for him, and he quite politely told her to "keep her distance".fenris.
The dialogue is actually more amusing if you aren't romancing him.

My guess is whoever you invite to move in first.

Fenris and Isabela never offered to sleep with me, I never flirted and I got that banter from those two. Was I supposed to?
Yes. That sounds correct.

Yes, that sounds like intended behavior. I think someone described Anders and Merrill's romances as "unstoppable juggernauts", and that's fairly accurate.

Yes, that would be me again.

o.O Well then, decidedly I will not be pairing Isabela and Fenris in act 3 if I'm romancing Anders. I'm that kind of silly jealous even when I'm not going for him, I don't want to hear of their sexy times!!!
guurl I know how you feel

I had hoped that my Hawke could later break up with Anders after it becomes apparent what a nutter he was and then turn back to Fenris all "Waa! --you were distant and then flirty with Isabela, and Anders was super-intense emotionally and I was desperate for commitment and affection, even though it was you I really wanted; take me back, please!!".
Sadly, I had enacted this plan *before* reading the thread which mentions the "unstoppable juggernauts". I had a sad! So instead, my Hawke will fully side with loony Anders, because he (m!Hawke) cannot go back to Fenris after all. It did make Fenris' personal quests much more poignant, because he was the ex Hawke never got over. I actually put them off for a while, because my Hawke (ahem!) was just so upset.

Sorry, I am not going to pursue gay Anders- he's rarely used anyway. I wish Fenris would waste him, frankly. LOL! Fenris is one cool cat. It's hysterical sometimes between the characters and keeps the game light and fun when it needs to be.

"Fenris:....hawke...
"Isabella:what!? Your betraying me!?"
"Me:YES PAY BACK A BEEOCH AINT IT ISABELLA!?"
*arishok takes her*
me: =D lets go Fenris!

Does anyone know if Isabela reacts to you killing Fenris at the end of Act 3 if the both of them are together?
Since Varric and Isabela don't react after killing Merril, I wouldn't be optimistic.

That banter was only intended to come up if you turned down both Isabela and Fenris.
As in, Isabela offers to sleep with you, and you said no. And then Fenris offers to sleep with you, and you say no. In this case, they would hook up in Act 3. This was the intention when it was written.
Looking at the scripting, however, it seems that it is checking to see if the Isabela and Fenris romances are ended. Which means you may have slept with them, but then agreed to "not bring feelings into it", thereby breaking off your romantic engagement.
So it sounds like if this banter is coming up in Act 3, then Fenris/Isabela are operating under the assumption that you are no longer in a romance.
Umm I had the same weirdness in Legacy during Act 3, Isabela and Fenris talking about their friends with benefits relationship, and I was in a romance with Fenris. I was not a happy Hawke. I came back, did Alone, and the romance worked as normal.
I don't mind party members having relationships, and could really see Varric and Merrill together, but my Hawke is a jealous type...Isabela slap!
Hopefully a screwed up flag?

If you're in a romance with one of them the banter shouldn't occur. So you probably have a screwed up romance flag.
