What is the rationale here? There are bugs that INTERFERE WITH THE STORY, and it has been well over 2 weeks now.

lol so you just expect bioware to magicly pull a patch out of it's ass? you know absolutely nothing about how these things work, how much code & testing is required to even fix one hiccup in a sea of code, i know whining about everything stupid is a hall mark of these forums, but this somehow takes the cake

Seriously are you 5 years old? how naively impatiant are you with so little understanding of anything to just whine for an immediate fix to everything, this is real life, real life DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT, unlike babies you can not cry until someone immedietly makes it better, IT TAKES TIME

Truely a disgrace that sumth'n like this was even brought up in a sea of child like, bratty disgraces that is this forum

New Vegas got a patch pretty quick, didnt fix much bugs but it helped. It would be nice if bioware did a patch for glitches and bugs they know about and can fix. Later make another patch/update for more complicated bugs and more bugs found later on. This is better than compiling a list and fixing it wholesale 2 months after the fact.

just wanted to add that 17 days really isnt that long...this thread would be more concerning if it was over a month from now.

Did they fix it later on though (ironically I sold FNV because they wouldn't patch things to preorder DA2), got tired of the fact it was march and they didn't patch quest bugs.

I honestly dont remember, but they fixed some bugs (not nearly enough) but it was to the point where I could play it for a couple of hours without running into a bug (not talking about the giant ants).  I got FNV the day it was for sale, that week was pretty bad in pre first patch, IMo.

I may take a break from DA2 after my second current playthrough till there is a patch.  Im hoping the fix the haste bug and Sebas/Isabela bug.

Yeah, it's totally childish to get angry over a broken product.

The truth is that many of the issues are extremely easy to fix, to the point where fans have made their own patches. That's never a good sign.

Bioware usually has tons of bugs in their games, but it's often easy to overlook the bugs because the stories are so good. Not so with DA2.

compared to games like Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Jade Empire where I never encountered bugs, DA2 is outright glaring with them... I had to stop playing as my first two playthroughs never ended as I intended (always ended with Isabela instead of Merrill, even when I was a total ass towards Isabela).
So now, DA2 has been sitting on my harddrive untouched for the last... I dunno, 10 days or something like that ? This is not only unbelievable, it's an obscenity.

Imagine the outrage if anders was bugged as being the one who hawke ran off with in the ending Posted Image, wouldn't surprise me if they had a patch asap if this was an issue

It took the first game about a day or eleven for a true first patch. A day for pc. Eleven for universal.

It took them a month or two for the next patch.
Patience is a virtue people.

LOL.. whenever I come to these boards all I see is alot of whinning about this and that:) and yet I am 100% sure majority that whine play the game but it is in their blood to whine about something.. Yes the game does have bugs, some I have asked about in some of my posts, but nothing that would stop the game from being playable and enjoyable:)

Patches take time, and I rather them take their sweet time and come out and address everything or bigger majority than rush something and make something.. like memory leak:)

Bioware take your time :) and give us a nice patch when it is done:)

Are you mentally slow? There's a bug that slowly increases the damage you take when you switch companions, until everything kills you in a few hits. It's completely unsolvable aside from editing save game files. As for the game being enjoyable, it wouldn't be enjoyable even without bugs because it's a bad game.

I don't really expect someone who uses ":)" as punctuation to understand me, so don't strain yourself too hard.

I'd be happy if the 'Hold Position' button actually worked. I'm on a PC and I finally gave up trying to use 'Hold Position' because..no one would HOLD. I even replaced my mouse to see if that was the problem...nope...off they went. *sigh

yeah same on the ps3... not really too important... but why have a hold function if it doesnt work...

Oh and also don't forget that Bioware/EA is a corporation like any other. Businesses have projects and projects have budgets. Things like wages are paid with budgets. So if the team has to put in overtime to fix bugs it might not be in the budget for this month, but maybe for the next...
The argument that it "should have been done right the first time" is compelling but really not feasable if you look at it from a project managers point of view. Yah we are the consumers/ customers, but we will have to wait now, bc what are you gonna do? boycott the game? big whoop...

I would like to see a patch like everybody else on here, but I know it's gonna take a while.

the fiscal year ended IDK if its all of EA or just Bioware at the end of March.  Im guessing they needed to release DA2 before the fiscal year ended and have the remaining 3 or 4 weeks tabulated back into profits before the year ended (this way they can be green lighted for new projects and get more support from EA).  I wanted to ignore that fact until they released the game but the bugs present makes it possible that they threw Q and A out or shortened it quite significantly.

I understand your frustration with the topic, but show some respect. It's not the other forum users fault the game doesn't work the way you expected it to. Geez people... I, btw, have not even encountered here mentioned bug, or if I have encountered it it wasn't noticable, and I switch my companions a lot... Anyways, just wanted to add my 2c.

The bug only happens when switching specific companions when they have high friendship/rivalry, so it's entirely possible not to notice it. As for my "respect," I don't have any for some drooling moron who would pay Bioware for an enema.

I agree! it is an obscenity.

DA:O and ME2 have been sitting on my harddrive since they both came out. Sadly, I think I will be uninstalling DA2 shortly. Might give it another month or two, and give it another shot and see if its still mind numbing..

There's a user-made fix for that which'll do until the official patch appears. It's up on the DA Nexus site, probably in the Projects section here too.
