Have you even played the game ? You can get hit on by ONE, exactly just one single male companion.

We can hava maximum 4 males. One is brother and he doesnt counts. Second is dwarf  and we never had romances with dwarf. Last two of them are bisexual and one of them more gay than straigt.

Anders hit on you and while you are talking with Fenris there is always <3 icon, its like saying - " Common, you can do it!" I dont even need to talk with Fenris to ask him about what he likes to see this <3 icon.

Now, this is actually a serious point. Bio should probably require the PC to express interest in the companion first -- most of the time, anyway.

Edit: which doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with DA2. Just something to watch out for in the future.

They should probably just expand on what they did with anders i.e. having him be hawkesexual. But instead of waiting until the romance begins to clarify the user's sexual preference in/for the game they should have some subtle way of indicating early on what the user would prefer. Like some throwaway line that annouces to the game what the gamer prefers but isn't some heavy handed declaritive statement.

Equality? You are pulling equality to the situations where it does not belong to. Equality is about having the same rights, responsibilities, and opportunities. Not about forcing creative industry to cater for every minority in their stories.

This is why I don't understand this discussion since BW could make all NPC gay and it would not be a question of equality. It would be just creative freedom in creating the world or story.

There has been talk of demographics, statistics and majority in this thread, my using the E word is justifed.

they should have just put toggle in options, like they did with friendly fire

so i can toggle gayness off

How is it any more "selfish" than most people? And she certainly doesn't show any signs to me that she seeks sex to make up for something else. She just enjoys it. Similar to how I don't play fighting games to make up for anything, nor am I addicted to them in the literal sense, I just really enjoy playing them so I've kicked my fair amount of Ryus in my day (Ryu is the main character in Street Fighter in case the reference is lost on you =)). She's doing what she loves and she's speaking her mind. Don't see why she'd need a psychologist, if anything I think young girls nowadays need more role models such as her to desensitise them from the norm of how women aren't supposed to enjoy sex, which is a pretty big part of our needs. (I'm writing a paper on Freud atm, so my mind is kind of... =D )

I was not saying she would need a psychoanalysis for herself (though would not hurt, it might be good if people would start to learn about themselves with help of professional). I was saying more that I would like to read psychoanalysis of her to understand her better.

Imo game designers are LAZY!! They made cheap excuse for a game. There should be characters in game that are GAY ONLY, some should be STRAIGHT ONLY and some BISEXUAL.

Makin them all bi seems sily and cheap.

I do agree that it is totally unrealistic to have all of the companions be bisexual. The homosexual/bisexual population is a very small percentage of the world's population and yes, I agree that they were certainly catered to in DA2.

Well yeah, you can't really know who is gay by looks or how he speaks, unless of course it is obvious, but those appear to be minority in gay group. Many gay people look like normal people and speak like normal people.

It's quite a funny exchange though. But Seriously as a male gamer, I like my Games Straight with maybe a side of hawt lesbo action.

Since we're already on the issue at hand and Bi-O-Aware has responded, I'll like my next serving of Mass Effect 3 with the following options;

1. Straight
2. Straight with some hawt lesbo action
3. Bi-O-Aware
4. Rainbow Pride
5. Anything goes baby!

Seriously, I think this will help every gamer enjoy his/her/it pixelated fantasies.
