No. I have been counted two times to be in the statistics. First I got counted in PS3 because I wanted to see is the rogue really gay. Second time I got counted when I had to get achivement in PC. I never wanted those romances, so to read the statistics in a way that everyone who did the said romances wanted them is just a good example how people don't understand statistics.

However I really don't care is there gay romances or not because it is not a political issue for me. It is game world/setting/characterization issue. That's why I don't care if there is those even though I "gain" nothing of them and can actually "lose" by not having so many nor good realtionships with my MaleChar and femNPC.

I think there are so many gays in the world that BW could specialize in making gay games for gay people. However untill all gays unite gays should appreciate I as a white hetero man help carrying them along by buying BW games (which I though don't do anymore because combat and overal quality is just too bad).

Well if I had to make a request, I'd go with the following...

First understand that being an "Heterosexual Male" and being challenged everyday in real life with "gays" on one side and "career women" on the other, I'm not all that interested in having it thrown
in my face and down my throat also in the games I play which is a way to escape reality. Don't get me wrong, I respect gays and career women it's just that...

While I go hunting(Work), WHO is going to bear my children, take care of them... and prepare me a sammwich?

Now that's the kind of Hencmen I want in my games!!

What I think what BW has done is totally dumb. They should have introduced some characters as straight, some as bi and some as gay. It is more realistic than turning all the romance-companions into bi characters.  They should have approached this sexuality issue in more creative manner, where the sexuality is part of the characters' personality. For example, Merrill is straight and Isabela is bi.  Well..., BW you have done the character development in your past games in great manner, so don't try to dumb down the character development now.

Actually if you would have paid attention, or read into it anymore, you would have seen that each character is not "bi" they are simply romanceable depending on your picked gender. I.E. If you made a female Hawke, Anders is straight, if you make a male Hawke, hes gay. 

Christ that's a bigger loophole than lol femshep isn't a lesbian cause asari are asexual.

Excuse me! Gay people like you say don't like to be marginalized. This kind of comment is simply discriminatory and tactless. BioWare games are for everyone, not only for the so called open-minded straight people. Also, saying that BioWare specialze in making gay games for gay gamers just show that you lack maturity when it comes to facing the world and its people. I'm not the kind of user who will flame or insult or others, but this was too much. Grow up.<_<

You also can't dislike the color of your bedsheets and a zillion other things in game. Is that a problem too? Some decisions are taken for your character, that is just the way it is. In this case of homosexual relationships, nothing is forced on you, you can say "no" and be done with them.

Haven't seen too many gay people here complaining about straight relationships  being "forced" upon them btw...

How was the heterosexual preference left uncatered to if everyone can pursue a romance with all of the characters?

The unrealism of every one of them being bisexual is thrown out of the window when in your game, only two would definitely show it anyway.

This is what they did with the game. This might be how it is going to be.

Actually I agree with Bobrikuh here, as it adds realism.

Of course, there needs to be an option to hit said partymembers across the head if they speak their hatespeech, and to kill them if they do it again, because this, too, adds realism.

Why can't your character dislike people with swords? Some things just aren't put in the game cause not everything can be in it. And since Thedas has come much further than our world in accepting homosexuality it would be a little random to prioritise that you can dislike gay people over, say, disliking templars who imprison mages.

So what you're saying is that it's ok to have "Heterophobic" Anders Character that no one has disaproved that he does indeed react with some hissy fit when rejected PLUS your Hawke looses some point of friendlyness towards rivalry, but yet, you think it wouldn't be a good idea for the PC Hawke to give the same treatment to Anders OR one of the other NPCs?

People of any gender flirt with people of any gender in real life. People get rejected over it. People feel discomort or get hurt because of it.

Sounds like double standard to me.

Anders doesn't net you a few rivalry points because of "eww you're straight", but because of "and here I was hoping you'd give me an embrace to rest in". There's a huge difference. Note how gender has nothing to do with what he's saying, nor sexual orientation, so don't bring it into this - it's not relevant.

Racism toward elves is a problem in Thedas society, sexual orientation is not. And trust me, if we humans started living next to other sentient races, we'd suddenly start feeling like we had much more in common with other humans and start doubting those other, new, foreign races, too =) Just how we work.

1. There are gays outside.
2. The Chantry allows homosexuality, but does not appreciate it being made public, on the basis of sexuality being private and supposed to stay so. So, even if they were gay, they wouldn´t tell you. Only your friends would.
