Well my point is that if heterosexual would have the ability to altenatly turn of gay content in a game, if gay peeps get the same option, hey all good and well!
And it's enough that in RL you can't control what you may see or who approaches you, is their really a need to add that type of situation i a game? well I think not.
I'm going to make another point here. There's all this disgust over one male character coming onto male Hawke at one point in the game because certain straight men feel uncomfortable with it happening to them in real life. However, there are certain points in this and other games where your life is threatened. Now, I'm fairly certain that most people wouldn't be particularly happy about having that happen to them in real life either but there's no outcry about that. It's a fantasy role-playing game. People need to take it a lot less seriously.
You know, I can almost understand why people might be uncomfortable in real life. Almost. I mean, it's probably a bit of an awkward situation where you have to let the guy down and whatnot. Plus, some people might start to wonder why the other guy thought he was gay. I can almost understand it. Almost.*
But in a game? That's just silly.
* I'd still be flattered that someone found me attractive enough to ask.

Well then, we're getting somewhere since the same is true both ways, then why insist on gay content in a game
when apparently heterosexuals have no right to experience the game without? else they have everyright to get flame if they ask for that option? (according to alot of gays since the begining of the thread).
Btw, if I recall the article of the OP is not really the ultimatum to scratch gay content completly out and neither is it what I'm suggesting.
I, personally, haven't insisted on gay content in my gaming. I'm thankful for when it does happen (at least if it's more than tokenism) but I am able to enjoy a game without it. I've got nothing but praise for BioWare for promoting inclusivity. However, I'm not going to be happy when people shout about excluding me solely because they dislike the content being in a game they enjoy when it barely even effects them.
This was the first argument I recall making sense.

Yes, I'm with you there. I can understand and respect that someone feels uncomfortable at unwanted advances. It's a personal situation that only involves them and that other person. But, in a game, it's not actually happening. It's just another little fantasy situation. Demanding that it be removed is not only potentially affecting you but every other person who plays that game. If you really are that disturbed by something within a game then just stop playing - that's the logical thing to do. But just because it is to your disliking, doesn't mean it is to everyone else. A little consideration can go a long way.

You cannot disagree with a sexual orientation. It would be like disagreeing with heterosexuality, different skin colours or a whole gender.
Well how can a person of a certain sexual orientation agree with another, if that were the case, we'd all be Bi-Sexual.
This doesn't make sense at all. Sure, you can agree on not having sex with men, or women, or what have you... but I don't see how that suggests you can't accept people who sleep with a gender outside of your own prefernce. It baffles the mind.
Well accept what exactly?... I don't dismiss anyone that is gay or Bi I don't treat them any differently then anyone else, I'm just not interested in being subjected to a display of gayish behaviors. Note that when it can't be helped I'm not one to complain like this one time I happen to see two guys going at it kissing in an alley which had the effect of turning my stomach upside down, but I thought "Hey it's a free country, whatever turns them on"
Also you wouldn't catch me rounding up a bunch of friends and declare "It's kick gay person day!"
I don't think it's to much to ask from situations when it can be helped such as a video game.
I think the fact that it "turns your stomach" is why people have labled you a homophobe. It shouldn't make you so upset! It's just a couple in an alley. That's it. And that's what most homosexuals want you to think.
This world would be a lot better if we just... hated each other equaly.
Just because a person may disagree with certain sexual behaviors doesn't mean that person automatically hates the person for engaging in such behavior. I strongly disagree with homosexual relationships but I certainly do not hate anyone engaged in such a relationship. One thing doesn't have to mean the other.

There were fat men in DAO, they wore something akin to a blacksmith's apron. And the Dwarves, in concept art anyway, had some girth on them. Still, kinda hard to have some belly when you're jumping/slashing/shooting all over the battle field in life or death situations.

Yep, pretty much. But people on the other side of the fence, so to speak, are not very clear on that, it seems.

If they want a fat LI, go ahead. I wouldn't use that particular feature, but,, I'm sure someone out there would.
