Wow, you mean no one called me a discrimanating, bigot "yellowbeanophobe"?

hmm...

Yellow beans don't have feelings or rights. They are vegetables, not people.

[sarcasm on] What makes you think gays have feeling or rights or if they are even people?

[sarcasm off] Its nice you (Lord Sullivan) can joke about it but what its a joke for you now its the hard true for many others.

Well that's a new one for me, ya learn something new everyday :D

I've only heard my lesbian friends use it over here in the UK, actually, so it's quite possible it's a regional thing. ;)

So it hurts you're feelings that I disagree with homosexuality?... why? that is my right and not for you to judge nor to attempt to control.

If I said that I disagreed with somthing so defining about your person like say..heritage or religion, would you feel a tad cross?

Actually, I don't even have a problem with you thinking this. You could have an unfounded hate for me, for all I care (which I'm hoping you don't since I want to believe you're more reasonable than that). What is a problem is when people turn these opinions into actions that actually affect me. The on-topic example being removing gay content from a game.

When I was a young lad maybe, but since I long been blessed with the understanding that to each there own thing as long as it doesn't hurt anyone in the process, no, I would be hurt by someone saying they disagree with my ways. If they go about doing something nasty to me about the subject, then that's another thing all together.

For instance, I'm constantly discriminated against by religious people for having the view that all religions are nothing
else but man made to control (brainwash) the masses that subject to it. Do I argue my points? yes, do I fell all butt hurt cause they disagree with me? no.

You probably could, as you have so far proven to be a rather intelligent poster, but I have the feeling you don´t even try.
Since it´s off-topic anyways, let´s just drop it. Send me a PM if you are truly interested.

If I hated gay peeps, my posts wouldn't be as they are. They would be filled with hate speech.

I didn't say you did, emphasis on the "could" in my last post. :P

My point was that opinions aren't what's causing the problems, it's the pushing those opinions on others that is.

I can see your point, especially on the first part on let live, and I can sympathize for holding similiar views towards religion. I'm not bothered by your disproval in truth, just that it reminds me on how I can't be too open outside of my circle of friends.

ITT: A whole lot of people calling other people haters or homophobes for having valid concerns about character development.

I only read like 10 pages total, but I didn't see one person say "NO GAYS!" or "NO BI!". The argument was that a character should have a sexuality and stick with it (with some people alluding to the game being more gay friendly than straight, an argument that if was reversed would be treated seriously).

I'm all for diversity in games, but at times I felt like characters were bisexual just for the sake of being bisexual. Anders was clearly straight in Awakening, and him hitting on me in DAII just felt out of character.

Still, kudos to Bioware for being more open minded.

And the counter argument would be that Anders never specified a sexuality at any point until DA2. Sadly, you hardly knew your party members at all in Awakenings, so it seems perfectly reasonable to me.

To me this is a case of excellent character development that some people just aren't comfortable with.
