It seems there is going to be 5 missions, which seems pretty good for 7 dollars...

It's a trap, I suspect Hackett is an unwitting participant... hopefully.

Don't make me have to put a bullet in Hackett, it would be like killing Old Yeller.

itll be cool if hackett ends up as a double agent for both the alliance and cerbrus. picture the smoking man from xfiles. during the day he works with the fbi but at night his true intentions are shownImage IPB

Nah, Cerberus is probably an arm of the Alliance.

more like puppet masters pulling the strings on some events

It was.
To quote Admiral Kahoku "It was Cerberus an Alliance Black Ops Orginzation. They've gone completely rogue!"

Nah, Cerberus is probably an arm of the Alliance.

Wasn't it started as an Alliance black ops group in the first place?

Edit: Ninja'd.

Read it, and seriously, I'm quite happy there is no VS in the DLC. After Horizon the only thing I want is to shoot Ash/Kai in the face.

And, now an asteroid can destroy a Mass Relay? WTH is happening?
Actually, forget what I just said. Mac Walters is happening...

i dont think it is meant to destroy it i think if they set it on a course where it gets wedged were the twirling ovals are it wont work like in stargate if the middle of the gate is blocked with something it wont work

Presumably the asteroid simply knocks the relay off course. If it isn't lined up with its 'partner' relay, it no longer serves its purpose and has effectively been destroyed.

That's my bet or maybey when the relay is active the middle part is very vulnerable and a projectile aimed just right can render it useless.

if the mu relay was moved by a supernova and worked hitting with a asteroid to move it it will still work

It would have ben useless till the area was found again and likely reactivated by Soverign.

It seems like an awful lot happens in the first mission alone. And there are supposedly 4 more?

This could be actually pretty good.

I have no doubt it will be.

The dude only played through one flipping mission. ONE MISSION. And all of a sudden he's making claims that the VS isn't in the DLC? Unless BioWare specifically told him, "Ashley and Kaidan aren't in here," then that could be considered concrete. But he's only played the one mission, and the rest of what he knows, he tells us second-hand. He says, "I was told there were five missions." Ergo, he hasn't played through them. I certainly hope there's a few more surprises.

I don't mean to sound snarky, but I am really trying to believe my own words right now. This DLC is everything that VS fans have wanted, and we have no idea if the main people we desired are even in it.

I read also second page. I think, that ME: Evolution and Arrival have quite lot in common. Shephard is again in so dangerous situation (quite naive decision to go alone I think :(). It will be but awesome I think. :wizard:

Before starting the mission Chambers tells you you've got a message from Anderson. Interesting. Must be part of the DLC.

Here's another one:

 http://www.joystiq.c...al-dlc-preview/

------------

Overall from what I've read this appears to be a majorly missed opportunity and more of an Assignment rather than a Mission (as Overlord was). Pretty disappointed but at least my expectations have been sufficiently lowered.

Actually, the word "destroy" is used by IGN, so I don't think they are using the asteroid to change the Mass Relay's location. But, since we have only IGN's word, it could be misinterpretation.

If it isn't a recton, then the doctor is really stupid.

IMO If they couldn't have topped LOTSB they shouldn't have even bothered. If I was EA I probably would have pulled it.
