I knew this was going to happen, otherwise they would have shown a trailer this week.

dlc cant be played BEFORE Horizon, so VS still can make appearance later in game. Or at least in the end, some little conversation about what happened on Horizon, what they plan next etc. Because seriously, why else would this DLC be played only after Horizon? Why not before? There must be something right? Well we will see in a few days.

William, everyone knew a long time ago that you weren't going to buy it.

Because you met Liara for the first time after Horizon. You couldnt access Illium before that mission.Geth_Prime wrote...
@Babli LotSB was also only playable after Horizon.

You could be right. Unfortunately, you caused my hopes to rise and now I have to stomp them back down.

Im not usually someone who purchases DLC, but this is actually pretty good from what we've seen. Aside from the obligatory annoying and/or stupid parts of every ME dlc, this DLC seems to be pretty original or, rather, diverse in terms of combat.

Even if they aren't in this DLC it looks like it'll be pretty good.

I seriously doubt they will appear. Agreed that it looks good however.Bluko wrote...
How does anyone know the Virmire Survivor isn't in this? No one has seen all of the DLC yet. I'm going to say there's a good chance they might show up in this DLC. In fact given that this is a solo mission to start I'd almost bet on it. I bet it's suppose to be some kind of big surprise.

I'm a bit disappointed there will be no squadmates. I'm starting to fear that this may be a sign that the Mass Effect team is going to cut back on squad interaction and dialogue severely for Mass Effect 3 despite everyone telling them not to.
I think this was a response to the "No talking Squadmates in DLC" complaints that have been going on. Since they couldn't actually get them to say more. Also it was probably so we would focus more on the DLC than if our squadmates comment or not.

Ot's not that they are cutting back on your squad, it is just it would cost too much money to bring back everybody to record for one DLC.Mr.BlazenGlazen wrote...

This.
It was very obviously a solution to both focus on Shepard AND get rid of the awkward squadmate presence for the DLC. Except, it'd be VERY weird if you stopped the Reaper invasion in the DLC, and then had nobody else in the game even mention it (not even Anderson or TIM). Which is why it's meant to be played at the very end of your playthrough; as a kind of epilogue to set up Mass Effect 3.

...or maybe its because after Horizon is when the rest of the galaxy map is revealed to you?greatcrusader44 wrote...
Interesting, was hoping it be more of a story after ME2 so it could end with Reapers coming, but still really excited for this. I also believe the VS will be in it, for LotSB you had to go to Illium first and meet Liara before starting it, Arrival can only be played after Horizon, whats so special about Horizon, other than it being Shepards first encounter with the Collectors, which i dont think will be related to the dlc, its where you meet the VS for the first (and final) time in the game. So maybe its only doable after Horizon cuz thats after you get to meet the VS.

But we"re getting a new galaxy where the DLC takes place, i think overlord, Kasumi etc were in new galaxies we couldnt get to til downloading them. Couldnt they have just have unlocked the galaxy we're going to instead of waited til after Horizon. Not saying im right, just a hunch. maybe they just thought a dlc with this much important story in it wouldnt make sense to be able to play the day you get your ship, heck since your going alone meybe they want your character to level up more so youll have more of a chance in a fight.Quole wrote...

It's the Xbox disc change. That's why you get LotSB after Horizon. Because Illium isn't on Disc 1.
