Oh my, sorry m'dear; didn't see this until now ^^

1. Replace the current TEMPLATERESREF IDs for Hawke's weapon and outfit with the ones you want (You said you already did this; good).

2. Also add a few numbers to the OBJECT ID just to be safe.

3. Click "save" after each change you make.

4. Click "save as" in the top left hand corner of GFF Editor.

5. RUN DRAGON AGE CHECKSUM FIX -- I'm betting this is the step you missed.

6. Replace the save game files in Modio; Rehash and Resign; and Save to device.

My  head is fuzzy right now ... remind me what attributes are? ;_;

If that's like magic, willpower, strength, etc. then yes, definitely!

If that's the talent tree, then maybe, but I don't know how yet.

I hope this doesn't seem too stupid... but if you want to give someone Cullen's face just change the head morph to hm_cullen and see if that works...

For anyone wanting to:

1. Change companion armor
2. Change appearance of weapons and equip any weapon to anyone
3. Change companion appearance (face swap)

I've updated the link in my sig ^^

Should I be saving my modded .das file as .das, and .das.x? Cause Gff editor won't open the .das.x file, I get an error message that it isn't supported.

Using Modio or Horizon, extract both das and das.x file to desktop.  But use GFF editor to open DAS file, not DAS.X file :)

*slams head against wall* My victory today is bitter sweet. Hawke is wearing new armour, has a two handed weapon for his spells. (why this wasn't done in the first place is beyond me, now I actually have an excuse for Templars leaving me alone) So Hawke is all good. Now Fen, fen, fen. He is runnning around my game naked! Which is geat, believe me, though not quite what I was hoping for. At least not out loud. Lol. I wanted to put him in the inquisition armour and it's a no go. what is Athenrils armour ID? I can't seem to find it?

Hmm weird, yesterday Hawke had access to all his spells while using the sword. I saved, went to play again today and now he doesn't I did unepuip his weapon and re-equip it. Do you think that was the problem? I think I may clean slate this run and start over. Maybe. lol.

Oooh, I may have also figured out how to get the iconic hair for male and female custom Hawkes and the bloodsmear, freckles, and a dalish tattoo. using hex editor. Well actually I found someone else who did this and it's really easy to follow. I can't see if it worked yet cause my bf is hogging my xbox. lol.

Edit: Fffff, dunno what I am doing wrong. My character keeps coming back bald.

LOLOL @ your poor bald Hawke

I've been holding off replying for awhile because my capral tunnel is flaring up again, but I'll try to answer as briefly as I can now.

ROFL If Fen is naked, that's actually good.  You're done the first step correctly.  You'e changed his appearance ID to 12020.

What is the inquisition armor?  Do note: IF THIS IS HUMAN ARMOR IT MAY NOT BE DESIGNED FOR ELVES. That's why if you equip it to someone like Fenris, he may just show up naked.  There are a few other reasons he could be naked, if, for example, there is an error in the ID number you pasted in, etc.

So, did you copy/paste Hawke's armor, gloves, and boots to Fenris' SAVEGAME_EQUIPMENT_ITEMS?  Did you also delete his default outfit?

If so, you can now change the armor ID's (TEMPLATERESREF) of each armor piece.  For the chest piece, change it to gen_im_npc_elf_arm_cht_lgte.  That's Athenril's chestpiece.  Be sure to add a few numbers to the OBJECT_ID (located two boxes below TEMPLATERESREF).

For boots: gen_im_npc_elf_arm_boo_lgte
For gloves: gen_im_npc_elf_arm_glv_lgte

Make sure you hit save after EVERY change you make.

For future reference, this is the jedi-like cloak you can also put on Fenris: gen_im_npc_elf_arm_cht_appd.

Or the Dalish armor: gen_im_npc_elf_arm_cht_dala (change "cht" to "boo" and "glov" for boots and gloves respectively).

About Hawke's weapon; equiping and unequiping it shouldn't matter.  Who knows what happened lol Even accidentally putting in a blank space or forgetting a period screws things up.  C'est la vie.

Aewsome sauce. Yah I finally got poor Hawke all put together. He was coming back bald cause I kept thinking I could shortcut the steps and just use modio but no, you must literally do it step by step the way it says to. his weapon thing, I have no idea what happened, it works fine now. So yah my Hawke now has the iconic hair, a dalish tattoo, two-handed weapon mage, in ser issacs armour. He is literally my favorite thing ever. As are you for helping me along.

I will fiddle with Poor Fens armour as soon as I have him in my party again. :D just a quick question am I changing three things to 12020, or just two?

Nm, I got it all now. It's awesome. Aveline is now Cassandra and on and on, new outfits for everyone! Though an ordeal it was totally worth it. (Best part was my naked Fenris, and Isabela running around asking where the hat shop was while headless) Now I am off to enjoy a new DA2 playthrough. Can't wait to start over with a female Hawke. LOLOL <--- literally laughed out loud

I hit the jackpot recently.  Found the face mor IDs for ALL characters in DA2:

Go to this link: HERE and scroll down to the spoiler.  Currently Aveline has the face of that sacred ashes guardswoman in Act 1 (a pretty but stern-looking orange-headed woman).  It really fits her.

I'm gonna try that stuff you linked to, to try and get the iconic hair and freckles (!!!!).  Was just thinking I'd love another DudeHawke playthrough but am tired of always using the same hair...

EDIT: This is really hard o.O My file totally corrupted, even though I followed the instructions :o Bummer.

Did you literally go step for step? Extract with wxpirs, , fix with checksum, repack with horizon and then save with modio. I also rehash and resign after I load the save back onto modio. I don't know if it actually helps but it hasn't worked everytime I didn't and did work when I did. *shrug* There is actually a better version to explain things here on the forum. I'll find it for you. Also, you need that older version of GFF editor and I have found it helpful to do "save as" when they prompt you to, and then do it again to be sure.

http://social.biowar...7/index/6958989 There, this one is a bit more "explainy" plus I think the codes on the other site are wrong.

Ahh, no. :pinched: I just used Modio and not Horizon or wxpirs.  I guess I'll have to try it again ... and be a good girl this time and follow directions xD

Can you edit the plot where you can side with the mages or templars? If so, how might I go about doing so?

Major plot points are represented by long strings of numbers, and to my knowledge, there is no guide for what each number represents (at least as far as I've seen).

But I'm not even sure what you're asking.  Choosing between mages and templars happens at the very end of the game. If you regret your decision, just reload the game to a previous save and choose the other.

Even if you haven't been hard-saving, there should be three auto-saves available.

Plot points in gff are under "Story so far" =] Good luck figuring that out though

Probably sounds stupid, but do do I get the First Blight mod tool to recognize saves?
I used Modio to extract my saves but First Blight doesn't recognize it when I try to open it. So then I downloaded 360 Revolution and the program won't respond at all. I downloaded it and made an account but when I hit log in on the program nothing happens and it's preventing me from doing anything with it.
So then I downloaded Horizon, made an account, logged in just fine, but it isn't finding any saves on my USB or let me add the saves I already extracted with Modio to the USB.

So what the hell am I doing wrong?

Question: Have you edited the save previously? And how far into the game is the save?

I believe First Blight will not read modded saves or saves that are late in the game.

FYI First Blight has corrupted so many of my saves ... what exactly do you want to do? You can do a lot of stuff in gff editor that you can do in First Blight and there's no threat of a corrupted save.

I haven't modded any saves before. I've downloaded modded saves, but never modded any DA2 saves myself. And the save I want to edit is from right after Varric first joins the party.
What I mostly want to do is give myself a lot of money and make weapons/armor/equipment with great stats/bonuses and level up with my character.
Does the gff editor work with 360 saves?

Well, that shouldn't be too late into the game.

I honestly never use First Blight. I tried to test it and open a couple of my own saves with it, but they're all modded and very far into the game, so...

Yes, you can use gff editor to edit xbox saves. I play on the 360. There's a link in my sig that explains how to edit/change Hawke's and companions' armor, companion faces, and weapons. Since I'm mostly into changing appearance and not stats, I have more experience with that. However, I do know you can give everyone in your party superman stats (lol); it's quite easy. As for editing weapon stats, you can definitely do that, but I think it's fairly complicated.

I'm sorry I'm not more familiar with First Blight. As for Horizon, try re-saving the game and then opening the new save with Horizon. I've never had that problem with Horizon (of the program not seeing the save) but I have had it with Modio, and that did the trick. But it shouldn't matter which program you use to extract the file...

I downloaded gff after I made my earlier post and it just doesn't open I downloaded the rar from here and extracted it, but when I click the program it just creates a txt file with a exe file denotation instead of actually opening.
Nothing is going right for me.

Here you can find a complete list of item properties:

http://dragonage.wik...Item_Properties

I may be wrong, but I believe 9115 ("Evolving") is the item property for "levels up with the character."
