Dude. I just met something. I think the save generator is not complete enough.

When I passed awakenings on my own I let the nobles act first and I killed them all.

But with the save generator, I just started a bit into act one, And met this women who said she was sent by the warden commander to hunt down the nobles that escaped. She mentions "most of the nobles escaped" after amaranthine burned.

That right there is a flag missing. Between having a noble hostage, killing the noble leaders first or letting all the nobles attack you and kill em all.

Just throwing it out there.

You may want to ask Thought Process in his topic (I think he is Gibb). Other PC users can probably test the plots flags, since they can use debug scripts via the console command. We can't easily test the plot stuff on the 360.

Also, keep in mind that DA2 itself can be pretty buggy when it comes to import decisions. Some stuff is just completely ignored, like killing Leliana in DAO.

One question I am trying to change the armor design early. So I can have at least the champion's looking armor.

I opended the file that says all ID's. ummm they are all ID's... how do I know which ID belongs to what?. Is there a wiki page. I found the one with ID's for talents but. How do I know which of the dozens of ID's belong to which armor piece?

Ok, so I just played through until the end where you have a talk with everyone and realised that I had never fully romanced Isabella, this is my second play though hand I had set things up in a way that I wanted to keep for DLC or even DA3, except for having Isabella romanced at the end. I think I made the mistake of not giving her the ship and now I don't have a save to revert to. Changing her loyalty to 100 does not seem to trigger any sort of event.
Is such information too obscured before I dive headlong into the save files to see for myself, would I save more time playing though the whole damn thing again, or would it even be possible to revert it to a clear cut stage like the start of act 3?

Download the pdf files here. They have pictures with the IDs.

@ICantFindSock, if you are playing the PC version, you maybe able to use the console commands to change the plot flags. The approval stuff I was talking about before dealt only with DAO romances.

Sweet. One more question. I am following the intrstuctions to the letter here. But I am confused

it says in the instructions:

IV. Now open your save in Le Fluffie and go to the 'Contents' tab and then click on 'Saves'

V. Right-Click on 'Savegame.das' and hit replace and replace it with the modified one and do same for 'Savegame.das.x'

Now after replacing both save.das and das.x. Do I click rebuild? fix... or thats it, just replace the files using leflufe w/e and dont hit anything else? DO I got to main tab hit rebuild. or just close it and move on.

I press rebuild, I then open hash block calculator do the tool and thing.

GAme comes out fine. The picture shows in the game. But when it ry to load it it says is dmged.

Someone else told me it might have to do with the security breach of some sort. Can't really remember.

I am not sure what I am doing wrong.... hell I think there are steps missing.

Don't use rebuild in Le Fluffie, just go to the security tab and use "fix" then you can close the program after it is done.

Then put the save back onto the USB/harddrive.

Ok... none of the steps worked. Had to check what Mark V said to me once. I did this and failed
1- Extract both das and das.x
2- Mod em in GFF
3-checksum fix both das saves
4- use flufe to replace the files and use fix
5- use hash block calc and use tool

Game comes out corrupted

Tried using modio to replace the das... failed to.

This is what worked
1-Mod in GFF both das
2-checksum fix both das
3-Open the Save in Modio
4- Delete both das from the save itself, not replace.
5- After deleting them then inject the das and das.x, rehash resign
6- Hash block and use the tool thing
File was cut to about 800kb. but it worked. So kool having Champion armor with rogue hoodie... so kool :P

Made mistake. I thought when you swapped models, the entire item is swapped as in you get the actual champions armor early. To my surprise I got the "way" it looks> but its armor is the first armor you start in the game lol. sigh gota find another set to place "improve with lv" thing in it :P

Yeah like siding with the mages or templars - that doesn't seem to make any difference at all...

(Sorry, I really couldn't let that one go.)

My steps work on my set up.
There is no need to use rebuild - this recreates the package of the save, something you already have.
The Hash Block calc tool does the fix for you, so no need to use fix.

One thing I didn't see on your steps, I extract the whole save to my PC aswell as the .das * .das.x files and when using  le fluffie to replace the das/x I use the file on the PC then replace the whole save on modio.

Go through the process and once you get to le fluffie to replace files you can see the file size so should know if it has any chance of working.

\\

Oh yes... well to be more specific, I use the USB xtaf  To extract the save to a folder

In that folder I also extract the save.das and das.x so is right next to the save that it comes from.

I also make a copy of the entire folder as backup.

And I work from there.

For some reason Le flufe or w/e gives me trouble. I tried using it as instructed... and the game does have a picture in the DA 2 loading screen, but when I try loading it says its dmged lol.

I had to mix your instructions (Mark) and the some others until it worked.

I already done it 3 times and it works this way dont know wth DA2 is giving me attitude.

1- Extract save using USB xtaf
2- Extract both  das and das.x using xwirp w/e its name is :P
3- Modd in GFF

after modding

1- Checksum both save.das and save.das.x
2- Open save in Modio, delete both save.das and save.das.x (jus tlike in ME2... dont replace, delete and inject)
3- Rehash and resign
4- Use hash block caculator on the entire save (open tool menu and use it)
5-Inject back into USB drive

works... :P

Glad to hear it works.

Like you I had to play around with it and re-interpret the instructions to get it working.

Got a problem with a memory stick. I downloaded the files from the 1st page of this thread. Followed the instructions for FirstBlight; changed some things, etc, resign/rehash with CONcept, but when I go to put the save back onto the memory stick, I get a notification that the device is full even though the only thing on it is the save that I transferred.

It's like the xbox formatted the entire stick (8gb) for use, but it's using all that space already. Any ideas or suggestion as to what is going on? Are the files from the xbox getting changed when I mod them on my PC? I just cannot wrap my head around this problem.

When I plug the memory stick into my xbox, it reads 7.9GB free, but when I try to move my modded save from my PC to the memory stick, it reads that 7.9GB are used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: If I format the USB drive on my PC, I can move the file to the memory stick but I can't load it on the xbox. If I format the memory stick on the xbox, then I get the message that the stick is full.

Some sticks aren't compatible with the xbox so that may be the issue.  If possible try another one different to the first, otherwise I haven't heard of this happening before, sorry.

Yeah, I also had a weird issue with compatibility. I have a 4GB Sandisk stick that is compatible with xbox, but the 8GB Sandisk stick got the compatibility message. Tried them both with the same result. Maybe that particular brand has issues for some reason that I don't understand.

Would be wierd given sandisk made the licensed xbox usb sticks, but I can't think of anything else other than maybe the port you're using is faulty.

I wondered that too, so I tried out the various USB ports on my PC, all with the same result. Tried to format on a different newer Xbox; same result. I guess I'm S.O.L. Haven't tried the xbox transfer cable yet... now if I could only remember where it is...

I have fixed the attack speed using First Blight and saved. I then rehashed and resigned using CONcept. Now I'm lost. When I try to drag/drop or copy save the file into Usb Xtraf I get the message File exists already. When I recheck the file present in USB Xtraf it still has the old glitched  -25 attack value. So how do I get the corrected file back into place.I have searched this thread and haven't seen this situation addressed. Copy saving directly into the usb drive gets the message that the drive is full. What should I do?

I use modio for this stage myself, but from what I recall don't you have to right click in XTRAF and inject the file? maybe delete the old one first, again right click.

Here's a video and they just get the "do you want to replace" window.

Just delete the file that you are replacing on the USB first (right click on save -> delete). I recommend you keep a backup of the original file on the PC (or just save the game twice in different slots), just in case the file you modded is corrupt or something.

Drag the modded file into Modio and when prompted resign and rehash. Finally save into the USB drive. When I load the game from my usb drive I get the message that the file is corrupted. What am I doing wrong now?

Got my problem figured out finally! I had to use Modio instead of USBXTAF. I'm not sure why xtaf was messing with me, but at least it works now! :wizard:
