To an extent, but Shale has a dislike; Fenris has some serious hatred. I think Shale would be more of the mind of locking up all squishy things for their own good, only letting them out to aid in her quest to eradicate the plague of the skies.

They have enough in common: a hated period in service to a mage, dislike for all mages for the same reason, a historical loss of autonomy, significant memory loss, a significantly altered physical condition, quest discoveries about their former identity, forgetting that they chose to have that physical condition (or may have, as in Shale's case she may have volunteered, but I don't remember if this was made certain), etc. etc.

Caridin claims Shale was the only female to volunteer. So unless he was a liar, we'll have to take him at his word. Shale seems to only remember fragments of it all by the end of her quest. Depending on if you do all of them and talk to her, she'll even end up wanting to go to Tevinter to become a dwarf again.
Edited to add. They're not that alike. Shale just doesn't trust mages but she doesn't fear them like Fenris. She was more "annoyed" by mages. She wasn't tortured to the same degree. She simply described her master as annoying to the point of wanting to crush him. But she wants to do that all things squishy. She's closer to HK-47 at most. Even being hit with a chisel to make her small enough to get in a doorway seemed like it probably angered her but didn't hurt.

Wynne and Anders. Two opposite mages, both possessed by spirits... They would argue a lot, but I can imagine Anders having some respect for her, since she isn't corrupted by Faith like he is by Vengeance/Justice.
I'd like to see Zev hitting on Aveline/Merrill as well... Or Isabela and Zevran talking about Wynne's magical bosom. Or an Oghren-Isabela competition:
Oghren: "Rolling your oats"
Isabela: "Praise your Maker"
O: "Polishing the footstones"
I: "Cup your Joining"
O: "Forging the moaning statue"
I: "Explore your Deep Roads"
O: "Bucking the forbidden horse"
I: "Arl your Eamon"
Alistair: Hey! Leave him out of that!
(Alternative ending with Sten in the party)
I: "Satisfy a demand of your Qun"
Sten: Parshaara! Shut up, both of you!
Oh, and of course, some Anders-Sten dialogue about kittens would be hilarious.

I think that Leliana and Sebastian would get along far, far better than Alistair and Sebastian. Iirc, Alistair has no love for the Chantry.
