I am positive that in ME3 we will find out that Kaidan\\Ahley didnt actualy die on Virmire - they will return as Reaper agents -our ultimate nemesis in the lest game - mark my words. I always puzzled me that we didnt actualy see them die. I sense a force disturbance here - somthing tells me that their story is not quite finnished yet. Just imagine how shocking that would be, an amazing plot twist that ME3 needs !!

I am not in a mood for further elaborating right now but i am sure you can go on with the topic form were I left :)

Intresting theory isnt it ?

I'm guessing someone had a Advent Rising Flashback. In that game you made the choice of either saving your fiancee or your brother. Whoever you saved, died later on. Whoever you left behind, came back later at the end of the game as the final boss you had to defeat.

So, all in all, quite possible if Reapers can rebuild vaporished spacedust or clone a look-a-like.

I can see Kaiden/Ashley coming back in ME3, but not the one vaporized by a nuclear explosion.
At least that's not in my cards anyway.

Wait so they survived the nuke explosion? Damn they will be harder to kill then Ridley. I severely doubt who ever you left behind comes back lmao.

You mean the helmet-less soldier who was sitting right next to an active nuke when it went off? That guy?

Of course we'll see him in ME3. Sheesh, how long did it take to figure thar out? :P

Um they were nuked. You don’t survive being nuked. It would likely have looked very fake and tasteless had they actually shown them being blown to pieces.
It would not be a good plot twist IMO it would be the sort of stupid twist that makes me throw the game out the window.
Maybe the reapers will clone them or something like that but even then, that’s a horrible and over used twist.

Dude, the explosion seen from orbit had the size of Europe and teared a hole into the clouds above it. You don't honestly believe there'd be an atom left of whoever stayed behind... Then again, the Asari you spared at the lab appearently escaped on foot... And Shepard has been brought back to live after crashing into a planet from orbit...

I think it is safe to put common sense aside when it comes to such matters in the ME universe...

Oh, how could I forget about him? I feel so ashamed.

Garrus was there for my Shepard after Kayden hit her and called her bad names on Horizon. I'm glad Kaiden won't be in the new DLC. He's just a whiner. I hope Garrus kills him in ME3. That would be soooo sweet of him.

Oh, and Ashley is a racist. I congratulate Bioware on sweeping these two meaniingless characters under the proverbial rug, and pretending that they never existed. Well done!

You know, I was all ready to fire off some sarcastic post about how ridiculous this idea is. But then one thought occured to me; Saren made it out. I mean, it's been literally ages since I've played ME1, I could be misremembering, but how does that scene actually end? I remember him flying around, Shepard taking cover, they exchanged dialogue... I want to say he flew away before Shep actually left the planet, but then, he was only standing on a flying platform, surely that thing couldn't make orbit?

I don't know, I'm probably grasping at straws, and don't get me wrong, I don't really want this theory to be true. It'd be cheesy, unbelievable, and frankly I didn't care a thing about either of the possible Virmire survivors, so I DEFINITELY don't care about the one I nuked. But if Saren escaped, which obviously he did, then it's theoretically possible the other VS did too? Captured by Geth, delivered to Sovereign.... It's not impossible. It'd be ridiculously shoddy writing, and even if it wasn't, they still wouldn't do it because the PS3 guys wouldn't really have a clue who the character was when the big dramatic reveal happened. But it's not impossible.
